There has been a lot of discussion regarding free kicks this year, as well as the previous few years. I always assume that our free kick differential will be between minus 5 and minus 10. I also assume that the Pies will be between plus 5 and plus 10.

Interested what everyone else thinks before the Pies final game of the year versus Port.

Pies have won 11 and lost 4 free kick counts this year (one tie). Port have won 12 and lost 4.

Still think Collingwood will win the free kick count.

Just as an aside, Richmond are the opposite of Collingwood: 4 wins, 1 tie and 11 losses

Port averaging 3.1 frees more than opponents this year, Pies 4.1. They are nbr 2 and nbr 1 in the competition. Magpies at home by 1 to 5 frees maybe.

Last 4 games for Tigers -8 frees, -5, -6, -9. Unheard of really. Against other top 4 sides:

Port -11
Brisbane -8
Geelong - 6
Eagles -8

Thos numbers are ridiculous really. The thing i have never understood is why there is such a difference between us and collingwood. There style can be quite similar in regards to pressure acts. We also have 2 dominant marking forwards while they have none. Generally teams with powerful marking forwards will earn more free kicks as those guys get climbed over etc
