Kane Lambert

Worried about Kane, has been a very under whelming start to the year.

Hope he hasn't returned to his 2016 output.

Yep. Very ordinary both games so far. Looks slow.

Just cant find the pill.

Becoming a fringe player, however is an automatic selection considering how many players hes ahead of (Ellis, kmac, Conca, bolton)... Really getting worried about our depth, orlack thereof

Maybe he has a new role in the team and is struggling to adjust? The GPS data of Km covered in a game would suggest that at least he is putting in the effort, just not impacting yet. It will turn for him. I would put him on Tom Mitchell this week, has the stamina and guaranteed to be around the ball.

It's early season. And Kane is feeling the full force of batting at #3. Even #2 at times. He is getting a lot of attention. I expect him to get it a lot easier when Prestia resumes and to find better form anyway.

Where you bat matters a lot. Particularly at #4 and above.

Prestia is the key. Cannot win another flag without him and if he can convince Tom Lynch to join us - well he will be a legend of the club.

3rd in the B&F has gone to his head.

Kane is probably the last person on our list that would get a big head.

Ordinary start to the year but he's the sort of guy that would be harder on himself than anyone else could be.

Strated last season slowly as well same as Tross.

Hopefully they will both get out of first gear starting next week.

Got it dead on, Jack. At present getting the second best tagger (Cotch gets one and they don't even try with Dusty cos jt can't be done).

Yes he seems another who takes time to get started. Last season he want picked for round one and played a vfl practice match

There is no way RFC want Lambert in anything other than No 3 club form. How does playing in the 2s help for a strong player? Play him against the weaker teams and let him keep kicking himself up the you know what till he works his way into the game and into form.

And as has been pointed out elsewhere he has some mates who are down. We aren't playing tremendous footy at the moment, but then flags aren't won in April either.

Still got egg on me face for calling him a dud.

Super smart player, extremely influential when on song.

But ...

His small size and shallow kick means he can’t at least impact ‘moments’ like other players struggling to find touch can. When he’s off the boil, he’s invisible.

Kinda like what titch used to be before becoming a freakish top-liner.

Needs to find his rhythm or may well be out.

Looks a long way off his best at this stage, in saying that I thought he started to find the ball better on Sunday and was closer to his buzzing best, did use the ball poorly though, however I’m tipping a much better game this weekend. Opposition maybe putting more time into him too.
