Drummond????? Hahahahahahahahah.

We're talking about Lambert here, not dangerfield

Drummond would at least be another depth player.

As Lambert should be.

You blokes are massively off the mark with this guy. You cannot carry his kicking through September.

Watched the game again and looked like he spent most of the day running with Murphy. Murphy had one of his worst games of the year.
Another feather in his cap in a tagging role.

Agree. Murphy was ineffective

But he ain't, he's best 22.

And yet you're on the Caddy thread talking Caddy up! Very strange.

Thought by this much time after the game the beer judgements would have worn off some supporters.
Drummond? Oh lord. Has he ever had more than 3 disposals or ever got in the best? Didn't think so

Clearly he's in the 22 atm, Tim, thanks for that.

This is part of the reason why our midfield is shallow. he shouldn't be getting so many games.

Caddy is slow but is bullocking the pack. We desperately need that.

You disagree? To me, that's even stranger :hihi

We are talking about Drummond not Dangerfield. Lambert is Dangerfield compared to Drummond!

The next kick Drummond gets at VFL level will be his first, let along AFL level.

Lambert's kicking is better than McIntosh, Grigg and is 50/50 with Prestia right now.

Caddy isn't half the player that Lambert is this year.

Ludicrous scoop.

Lambo can semi-regularly hit up over thirty but that's about it.

Grigg and KMac routinely kick 50. KMac with penetration. Massive difference.

As for Prestia, he's actually a great kick but something is hampering the action.

He hasn't done much Harry but he's doing a lot of body work which is much needed.

Blocking, holding until help arrives, etc.

As Leysey has pointed out on numerous occasions Lambert is so clean and quick with his hands in tight. One of the best one touch players on our list. Hardly ever fumbles. Also his kicking is not as bad as some like to suggest. Similar to kingy, who was actually a great kick yet people remembered one clanger from early in his career.

No, Kingy had good penetration on both feet, particularly when wheeling round on a dime and sniffing a goal :hihi

Lambo doesn't have air speed on his dominant, let alone his left.

Agree on his hands though Harry, with the caveat that he is yet to produce this under extreme pressure.

Lambert was very evasive yesterday. Probably one of the best games I've seen him play. 12 score involvements (2nd most - Martin had 14)

For the output we get from him (which is very good), and the salary he would be on, and his ability to stifle the effectiveness of his opponent, he is very valuable to this team.

Sums up his value right now. And clearly in our best three players yesterday.

Yes, it's amazing how much some players can improve with perseverance and game-time, develop their confidence and step up. Interesting to contrast him with Edwards in this respect.

However, it's quite arguable that lowly-paid Lambert is as much value to our team as Caddy and Prestia are ATM, even allowing for his limited kicking ability. My post is more about the lack of quality and depth at RFC.
