This is a copy of an email sent to the club by a prominent supporter. I have edited out the name to protect this person I can reveal however this letter hit home and many believe caused the leaked memo to be written

There's more than a kernel of truth in there, but it's a bit over the top IMO. And some racist undertones too — Rodan, Krak & McGrath not up to it ??? — very harsh early call I'd say. And what about Kane Johnson - conveniently forgot him too.

Can't see why this would have "hit home" laff - there's nothing much in there that is a shock to anyone.

Exceptional letter, well done to whoever wrote it. *winks at Laff* ;D

And Dean don't go bringing race into it. There are still big question marks over Rodan, Krak and especially McGrath and it only has to do with their football ability.

Rodan is a showpony who to date has produced very little and plays in bursts, doesn't get enough of the ball and Krakouer is the same 1 or 2 possesions is not enough

I thought Rodan had show something in the past couple of matches. But let's be honest, he's in his second year - and it is a bit early to say "he'll probably never be up to it".

What sort of prominent supporter are we talking about Laff? Would we all know the name (don't say it's diggler ) ;D.?

great letter which is totally correct & honest the only thing i dont agree with is holland being a consistent contributor he,s bloody useless just doesn't get enough of the footy so that would leave nine on the list that you would keep

I doubt this letter would have hit home to anyone at the club. You know how many letters they'd have gotten like this. They're not just going to look at this one ang go holy *smile* I think this persons onto something here. Makes some good points and some that are a bit exaggerated IMO.

Yeah, TG, on re-reading it, it is full of vitriol and holes. I doubt that it would have gone far past the waste paper bin, no matter who wrote it.

In fact, if the club reacted to that in any way, then I'd be sure we were definitely going nowhere.

It was actually written by a member of Tiger talk email list , a few people suggested it would be a good idea to send it to the club.

Though as people say emails like this would be sent all the time so i doubt this has triggered anything.

Excellent letter but I would agree that it would have been virtually ignored by the Club and not even seen by the football department.

I wrote a letter along the same lines to Frawley last year...not naming players outright as duds, but being absolutely amazed that he would actually think we were only 2 ladder positions from a premiership in 2001. The response? There was no response.

There's nothin in that letter I disagree with, apart from the assessment of Rodan, Fat and McGrath. For goodness sake, these guys are only a sparrow's fart into their AFL career, give them a go. As far as racial overtones go = crap.

This letter in isolation probaly didn't trigger the Male-y memo, but probably with the truck load of (no not chicken poo!) other type letters, it certainly would have helped and I say, that's a good thing............

I'd rather have that big clean-out of dud-players NOW and draft 1 gun and 5-6 kids and have 1-2 crap years, but start to turn the corner in 3-4 years, rather than keep going around on the merry-go-round were on now.

Honestly, is it that hard to see?????

I think the use of the word's 'insipid self interest' in the Football Department are spot on here. Negligent at best.

Arghhhhhhhhhhh

The club wouldn't bother reading this letter. They believe they are on th right track with frawely and his short term vision and will ignore all other opinions. All they want is unconditional financil support from the members. The circus is being run by half-wit clowns.

The irony is that the RFC (along with some supporters) truely believed they were a real chance for the flag this year. This is as laughable as it is sad.

I would expect that with Campbell and Miller in the mix, that the clock starts ticking from Round 22, this year.

Casey is a concern, I think he should concentrate on managing (probably ripping off) the penno's.

Oh God, make this year end NOW!

Laffs you are indeed the mole ;D
Your assessment of Rodan is 100%. He is a show pony, has pace, but no football smarts whatever (another richo). He will not amount to anything. As I said two years ago when he was drafted, a dud!

Rodan, Krak , McGrath all class tonight. Especially Rodan. Shows what a bit of time in the midfield can do for him. He was class.

Youg guys are to oharsh. ANd a i agree with Deans assessment of the letter having racist overtones.
