In 2019 we changed stables got a new trainer Lee Freeman Hardwick, and we paced ourselves all year. We didn’t sling shot like 2018, but we grew into the season and come home like Doriumus in the 95 cup.
Absolutely right that we paced ourselves, and made some of those complainers all through the season suck it up. There were so many comments around why we "couldn't put teams away", why we "always let teams back in" etc towards the end of the year (a lot were also from yourself Zips) when it was clear we were pacing ourselves.
No-one wins the premiership by steam rolling teams in round 17, or 18, or 19 etc. We won games, then paced ourselves to the end. When we could release that throttle and steam roller a team, GWS were on the end of it.
Pretty much perfect from Richmond post the bye in 2019.
