Tennis, like golf and soccer, doesn't belong in the Olympics. Not like table-tennis.
Srsly though, if it ain't the pinnacle of your sport, gtfo.
Na, in terms of playing for your country it's the pinnacle. 3x3 basketball can *smile* right off, though.
Baseball and basketball don't have any other international event (World Cup etc) though, do they?
So in that regard Olympics would be the pinnacle for them (except for the yanks maybe)
Basketball does. And I think most baseballers would take playing in the MLB over the Olympics. Baseball is out in France 2024 in any case, sadly along with softball. Breakdancing is however in. My personal opinion is that they should be trying to cull events, not add more in.
You can say the same about cycling with the road races, not the pinnacle of the sport, which is the Tour de France, World Champs, possibly the other Grand Tours and the One Day Classics. But the Olympic Road races do sit high up in the pecking order and should be at the Olympics.
Geez, didn't Ash Barty look a bit off, lots of unforced errors, just not quite making her shots. It is a game of inches and you miss those shots it makes it too hard to win, just life I suppose.
Would like to get the 7+ app on the TV but on our TV we need to create an LG account and the confirmation email just doesn't seem to arrive. No idea why. If this keeps going I might have to try and create a 7+ account online and run it from the laptop.

MLB might be the choice of all baseballers, but most don’t get the chance. And of those that do, I’m sure blokes like Shohei Ohtani would love to have a chance to represent their country.

For basketball it is the pinnacle of International competition, as opposed to club / franchise leagues. Soccer would be the other example of team sports that could go .... And FIFA have made it under 23 to keep,World Cup paramount.
Every sport has its own world championships / cups. Olympics is the 4 year pinnacle.
