Dont know about anyone else, but that was one of the best games that I have ever been to since I have been going to the footy (since 96).

I did not give us any chance of coming back, not just because of the margin late in the 2nd quarter, but just the way we were playing. We looked like a losing time from the first minute of play.

But to turn that around, was inspirational. Bad news about Richo! He was playing so well, before he got injured. He assisted Campbell and a couple of others in getting goals and got a couple of his own. Hope he is back for Essendon.

Speaking of which, everyone will be expecting us to lose to Port Adeliade and Essendon in the next two weeks. If we can just win one of those games, I think we can set up our season.

GO TIGERS!!!! GO RICHO!!

According to the review at afl.com.au todays match was Richmonds greatest ever comback since 1908. Our previous best come back was in 1982 against the swans 8)

Hey there georgeybabes...everyone except me maybe. ;D
Taking it one week at a time, I reckon the Power will wonder what hit them next week. 5 in a row coming up. :D

Welcome to the site mickctiger :)

True, but then Richmond hasn't been a clear-cut favourite for any of its four wins, even against Fremantle, when there seemed to be a consenus amongst footy 'experts' that this was Freo's big chance to break through in Melbourne.

I think our season is already set up - we are a definite finals contender but we're going to have to win a couple of games interstate as well as beat genuine premiership contenders for us to become a Top 4 proposition. The matches over the next couple of weeks will be valuable tests in that area.

The 7 day break will do the boys good. Come out all refreshed for next week against Port after 3 heavy going games in a row fitness wise.

I still can't believe not one footy "expert" tipped us to win . Serves them right. Betcha they still don't believe we're the real deal but that hasn't stopped us winning 4 in a row.

Tough ask over there next week as we have never beaten Port at footy park and we will be without Richo but as I said in my preview and as we saw today, this Richmond side has a fair bit of steeliness about them this year and a strong will to win.

Car'n the Tigers!

PS. Welcome to Punt Road End, mickctiger :).

Do you think Staff will get reported for what happened to Everett? Didn't look like much to me. When we Dutch, Drago and Dunc be coming back?

Isn't it good to be sitting on top of the ladder? :D Would be even better if the Doggies have an upset win over the Lions!!!

I just read two newspaper articles that implied that
it was an errant umpire bounce that caused Everett
to run into Staff's arm. (I like that one - ran into my
elbow sir - I had no intention of hitting him sir). Still,
given all the media attention, I'd guess there's a real
chance of him going up. We shall see.

The Dorks are all crying sookie sookie la-la's at the
moment - demanding this and demanding that - latest
is some scratch on Barlow's face (I think that's what
they said on the radio) ... when it's him that should
go...

What a game! The first game i've been to this year, and I couldn't have picked a better one!
Such a shame about richo, I was watching him about 5 mins before he came off and noticed that he called the trainer over to get strapped up. and then 5 mins later he was limping to the bench. poor bugga.
made the stupid mistake of sitting near the hawthorn cheer squad and was dreaming of ways to kill that fat bastard screaming out 'go hawfawn!' when majestically campbell kicked that team lifting goal and we were back on track. sure shut him up quickly. tehe.
here's a mind boggler: does anyone remember the last time we were on top of the ladder?

Round 1 last season?

Also did we win 5 straight in '95 to have top spot?

I went to the game yesterday, great game.

But as I went back to my seat after half time, the security guard wouldn't let us back in the section as it was full!?

I missed the start of the 3rd as I was desperate for a jam donut and then we were walking around for about 12 minutes trying to find a seat.

I had reserved tickets through work, but they were for the second tier on the southern stand. It was full of Hawthorn supporters!

My girlfriend and I decided to sit their anyway, and there was this pyscho hawthorn supporter screaming about everything from umpires, to bagging richmond players, calling them soft.. blah blah blah

Anyway, there was a Richmond supporter sitting next to us, celebrating our success in the 3rd quarter. He wasn't bagging Hawthorn or their players, and all the Hawks supporters around us started telling him to sit down, and shut up!? Anyway, he said "i'm supporting my team, i can do what i like." Anyway the pyscho hawthorn supporter starts screaming "c'mon! c'mon, come here!!" to the tiger supporter.

THe tiger supporter, fed up by now, stands up, and starts waving his tiger scarfe after we kicked another goal and then this respectable looking lady next to him says "you shouldn't be here, this is for hawthorn supporters, sit down, or go away.." The tiger supporter tells her to shut up and leave him alone, so then the husband jumps up and goes to punch the richmond supporter. By this time, my and my g/f have jumped out of our seats in total shock and then the richmond supporter goes nuts and grabs the wife and threatens the husband that he'll hit her. Then the fat lazy old security guards slowly turn up and escort the RICHMOND supporter out!?!?!?

The poor guy. I felt so sorry for him.

We then walked away and found a better seat. By this time the quarter had finished and I mas majorly pissed.

Oh, BTW, Brisbane are killing the Bulldogs. We won't be on top for long. Good luck for next week Tigers, we'll need it. However I beleive we can beat Essendon the week after.

The sound of some Hawks players head after Pettifer slammed him into the fencing was awful! Funny though :)

One of the best things for me was that they didn't drop their heads. Not once. 12 months ago we would have ended getting a thrashing on 20+ goals. I agrre with MT there is a steeliness there.

Something we all have been crying out for.

We won the first 7 in a row that year Rosy. 8) I remember we were on top after Round 9 when we beat the Swans at the SCG.
