PRE 2015 Phantom Draft is Now Live

See Maboir Chol went 56, is that his likely thereabouts? Big raps on him up here in Brisbane, (as you'd expect).

I think he's more rookie territory but you never know, stranger things have happened. My gut feel says Nyuon will go higher.

Essendon Last Pick 82 Select Matthew Flynn
Port Adelaide Final Pick 83 Select Callum Moore

Well, of the 5 picks I had 2 got drafted: Mitch King and Nathan Broad. Better than my previous efforts! No sign of Jordan Matera, Jacob Wheelahan or Greg Clark.

I think I had a decent draft, all players selected with Doedee being a first rounder & Menegola going to Geelong late. Hibberd slid a little but not too far considering all the academy guys were picked up. Be interesting to see if my batch outdo SOS's batch in the long run.

So my picks for West Coast were as follows:

Pick 23 - Brayden Fiorini - Went at Pick 20
Pick 31 - Kieran Lovell - Went at Pick 22
Pick 62 - Mason Redman - Went at Pick 30
Pick 75 - Darcy Cameron

Looks like I went pretty well in comparison to how it actually went (not bad for a first timer!). I'm sure Darcy Cameron will get picked up in the Pre Season or Rookie Draft as well. Will be interesting to follow their progress over their careers.

Good effort, I'd be pretty happy with that.

Re: PRE 2015 Phantom Draft

54. Sydney Swans - Alex Morgan (pick 29)

55. Greater Western Sydney - Mitch Brown (pick 54)

65. Greater Western Sydney - Oleg Markov (pick50)

69. Sydney Swans - Josh Schoenfeld (Pick 34)

70. Greater Western Sydney - Nick Coughlan (Pick 23 Rookie draft)

72. Sydney Swans - Will Snelling (Pick 10 rookie draft)

Not bad this year.

*updated after rookie draft

Essendon Picks
4. Essendon - Darcy Parish went Pick 5
5. Essendon - Clayton Oliver went Pick 4
24. Essendon - Daniel Rioli went Pick 15
25. Essendon - Nick O'Kearney (undrafted)
57. Essendon - Jack Silvagni went Pick 53
82. Essendon - Matthew Flynn went Pick 41

Port Adelaide Picks
32. Port Adelaide - Michael Hartley went Pick 68
49. Port Adelaide - Blake Hardwick went Pick 44
83. Port Adelaide - Callum Moore (undrafted)

20. Western Bulldogs - Ben McKay (Pick 21 North)
21. Western Bulldogs - David Cunningham (Pick 23 Carlton)
30. Western Bulldogs - Luke Partington (Pick 28 WCE)
51. Western Bulldogs - Kurt Mutimer (Pick 57 Eagles)

God Damn, I've even impressed myself. Nothing further than 6 picks out.

1. Carlton - Jacob Weitering (pick 1 Carlton)
8. Carlton - Wayne Milera (pick 11 Adelaide)
11. Carlton - Harry McKay (pick 10 Carlton)
19. Carlton - Mitchell Hibberd (pick 33 North Melbourne)
59. Carlton - Sam Menegola (pick 66 Geelong)
60. Carlton - Tom Doedee (pick 17 Adelaide)

It is worth noting that in our draft the academy guys were not included so taking this into account Mitchell Hibberd would have gone at pick 28, Tom Doedee at pick 13, Wayne Milera at pick 9, Harry McKay at pick 8 and Sam Menegola at 58.

Cant believe how badly you stuffed those two picks up.

Same height, same ability to read the play, same sort of build, the big difference is one is lightening quick and the other very slow. This is the kicker with me, Collins has the turning circle of Mac truck and Adams has just recorded a repeat sprint of 24.85, his leap is also superior with a vertical jump of 76cm - by far the better athlete. His form in the WAFL has also been huge, BOG in a final, 4th in the B&F as a defender, can play forward when need be. If the Doggies land Adams they have played this super smart in my opinion, will slot in nicely down at the kennel.

Without wanting to jump the gun too early on Collins, I have to say that Adams has been a diamond for the Dogs. Never underestimate the gems in the state leagues, people forget that there's often a reason they don't get picked up as juniors.

Reports on Collins have been fine but you nailed Adams. Great shout mate well done. Amazed at how well he's gone.
