Now we have a long term injury, is the club able to elevate one of the rookies to the main list?

Assuming we can, I think that Kelvin Moore should be the one to get the nod generally because he is the best performed out of Shir and Pickering. In fact, I can't remember ever seeing Shir or Pickering's name in the best or goalkickers for Coburg.

I know he is still young, and a bit light on, but he is a big man (taller than Shulz) and appears to have pretty good skills.

Thoughts?

The answer will be no this under performing rabble have been bursting at the seams salary cap wise and can't move. The problem is they make the finals once and sign these duds on big fat long term contracts

i saw Moore play on the weekend he looked the best out there constantly at the ball and not afraid of going in hard.

i may not be an expert but if any of the rookies were to be promoted i would say let it be Kelvin Moore but i doubt this would happen

Shir wasnt even in the Coburg tracksuit on the weekend and as for the others i dont really know

Shir has been out injured RR for the last 4-5 weeks with an injury similiar to Blumfield's though not as severe. His was a tear of the muscle but not torn off the bone. Prior to that he had OP. He made his return through the Coburg reserves on the weekend. Expect him to play for Coburg seniors this week if he pulls up OK

What is the point of elevating a rookie to the Senior list if they are not ready to play Senior footy????????

If any of you have seen Moore play he is NOWHERE NEAR ready to play AFL. Sure his skills are quite good but he doesn't get enough of the footy and is a long way off senior footy.
As for Shir he is injured at the moment so why put him on the Senior list if he's not going to play??????
If we keep losing our key position players Pickering might be a chance but for Christ sake this bloke is an ordinary player who looks more suited to a part in an XXX movie with that porno moustache than playing footy.
So why put them on teh list when that means paying them more money and they won't get a game??? End of story.

Agreed Boss - I see Moore as a long term project player. Skills are great but the body - not physically strong enough at the moment

I know im no expert and some might think i only like to go to the footy because i like the look of cougs in footy shorts (;D) but what i saw of Moore and Kellaway on the week Moore deserves to come up before Duncan.

Im no player knocker or anything but Kelvin seemed to be out there to make an impression not just to go through the motions.

We'll never know if these guys can play at the top level if they dont get the chance

The sad part about it is there is really no decent youth in the reserves at all to many hacks like nicholls and fleming picks were wasted and as far as Duncan goes he needs to be cut now there is no point going back to his skills

Was there an inference there that Duncan was just going through the motions?

If there is one player whose commitment could never be questioned, even by his most ardent baggers, it is Duncan Kellaway.

Don't forget players coming back from injury are given specific instructions of what to do at Coburg and going flat chat and giving 110% isn't always in their best interests or what the club wants of them.

Rosy there was no inference there, it was just how i saw Kelvin Moore he was going hard at the ball and seemed to be enjoying the game, not going through the motions.

i have no intentions in saying anything bad about Dunc even though some people (DF) like to blame me for something they said
