Chris Scott bitching again about home finals and even thinks the MCG grand final contract is unfair. Geez he's a snivellng *smile*. Can't think of anyone in football I despise more than him. Longmire also agrees with him; there's a shock:rolleyes:

Funny how Salty Scott never mentions the leg up that Geelong gets every year by playing home games at the bowling alley that is Kardinia Park. Funny how he never mentions the fact that the Vic government tips in most of the money that has allowed that venue to be developed to around 40K capacity (still miles off what is required for a major final in Victoria). That's the same government that tips in hundreds of millions of dollars into the development of the MCG to make it one of the greatest sports stadiums on the planet and in return, quite rightly demands that the venue has a long term agreement to host the biggest annual sporting event in Australia to seek a suitable return on that investment.

The AFL does a lot of things wrong but the allocation of finals games is not one of them. The MCG grand final brings squillions of dollars in revenue into the AFL system which flows into development of other areas of the game and the clubs. It is a key pillar in the strength of the competition and helps provide the framework for the likes of Salty Scott and Longmire to lead there charmed existence earning a king's ransom for coaching a football team.

What a pair of whining tossers.

*snip*

He's right Rids.

We should be sharing the AFL GF around all of the 100,000+ seat stadiums in Aus.

Spot on Ridley, Scott would be the first to bleat if Geelong makes the GF the first year it's moved to say Perth.

When the interstate teams joined the AFL, they well knew the GF is always played at the MCG, and they would have expected that would continue. It's like buying a house in the inner city near a pub with live music and then complaining that it's too noisy.

There is no one I despise more in football than Chris Scott. The lack of grace when we won in 17 was extraordinary. While everyone was congratulating the new premier after a 37 year hiatus, Scott comes out on 360 the Tuesday after with "is that what we want?" . He can GAGF eternally the smug SOB.
