Round 22 the lesser games

Already have. These pointless games played in the latter rounds get boring. Bring on an 18 game season. Play each other once and a final round of derbies and blockbusters.

Lions v Cats an interesting one. Are the Lions just pretenders with and easy fixture, or have the Cats really imploded after the bye? Or maybe both.....

Telling that it's our match with the Eagles that people think will give a better idea of who the Premiers will be.

I was wondering who would start this.
Is there a game on tonight?
Nah not really.

Oh wait there is!
Friday night footy sees a massive clash between two bottom 4 teams.
You can smell the mothballs.

I think we need an AFL - 22 round comp
With 12 teams. A final 5.

And a 2nd tier comp of 10 teams.
With a final 5.
And a relegation/promotion system.
Bottom 2 out - top 2 in.

So we’ve got 18 teams and we need 4 more.

Tasmania, Northern Territory, Ballarat, Townsville.

Done!

(I’ve actually not thought about list sizes, drafts, or reserves yet).

And I’ll fix the score reviews on Sunday.

But under that system right now the Afl would be

Geelong
Bris
WCE
Tigers
Collingwood
———————
GWS
Essendon
Port power
Adelaide
Bulldogs
Hawthorn
Fremantle

AFL2

Saints
North
Swans
Carlton
Melbourne
——————-
Suns
Townsville
Ballarat
Tasmania
Northern Territory

I think you've got the Suns a bit high.

If you had 2 divisions and Richmond and Collingwood played off in the GF in Division 2 would it still be a sell out?

Yep, had a glance for a few minutes with a break in the cricket. What a bore-fest process-driven AFL has become. So repetitive, so predictable, so dull. Goals mostly only when a team's system breaks down. No spontaneity or individual brilliance allowed any more.

CH.7 really know how to pick them!

Not much to watch in The Ashes too with those useless Poms dropping like 9 pins.

Uhmmm. Spoke too soon? Did you actually believe the local cricket media? ... How we were on top, after one day, where Eng posted 258 in tough conditions. You still have the runs on the board, the other side have to get them. Until they have surpassed that total by 50+, you are ahead in the game.

And you take out Smith, and we have how many reliable batsmen?

How is Goodwin not under intense scrutiny?
Well done Roosy what a culture u established there.
