Balmey and Blair get on it please right away.

We need a quality tall to bring into the backline after 2020, a specialist with size and of quality.

Sammy Taylor would be perfect with his age to replace Alex.

We will have more cap space than them after their squeeze re signing Kelly, Whitfield and Coniglio.

He should be our priority target if not him then possibly chase up Alex Pearce.

Pearce is too injury prone.
We can develop our defenders.
Use the money to get Tom Green back home..

What about the forgotten man Brander! Can we pry him out of west coast back to the east?
Ideal size, now with experience and the best junior key position mark I have seen for a long time.

I’m all in on Taylor. We were keen on him in his draft year too.
Bullus was a massive fan of Taylor in his draft year and we had 3 selections in that year
#17-Jack Higgins
#20 - Callum Coleman-Jones
#25 - Noah Balta

#28 - Sam Taylor

Clearly the club didnt rate him too highly at draft time but looking at our list today with the players we have it appears that Jack Higgins would be the player i would give up to have taken Sam Taylor. Coleman-Jones & Noah Balta are players that are required as both can play multiple positions
Coleman - Jones Fwd/Ruck
Balta - Fwd/Ruck/Def/Utility

Problem is that Taylor is a WA boy and would be difficult to get to Victoria
Another player that I think has the ability to play Fwd/Def is Jarrod Brander from west coast who is a bendigo pioneers boy 195cm 95kgs
that may be wanting to come home. We were linked to him prior to taking Jack Higgins Brander went #13 in the same draft

I have seen Brander play a few times in the WAFL and would have to say I don’t get the hype. Has looked ordinary to be honest.

It can be difficult to judge young players in the WAFL though especially the interstaters on AFL lists.

I don’t think we are any chance of getting Taylor but i’d love to just to see Eddie’s face. Apparently Pies have been talking to him all season.

At least you would think we would have more cap space then the Pies now.

I reckon we should start giving the old Pie Tree a shake, something’s got to give.
Problem is that most of their players are over rated n over paid. They don't have much that would possibly enhance our list.

I think Darcy Moore is a free agent next year isn't he?

If we could get his body right he'd be a nice addition to the backline.

Yep. Has a Rance like quality in his attack as a back man.
Certainly would not say no to Darcy

Good spoiler.
Apparently likes to fly from behind with a late fist.
Very dangerous if you’re not into it

Problem with Moore is that he is either injured or thinks he is injured

* Too Expensive as will be $800k++
* Will cost draft picks
* Will only play 50% of games

Don't think we need a top line defender. Grimes is obviously elite, and it is an elite 7 defenders.

Would be more inclined to go for a value pick, Jordan roughhead as an example would be a perfect back up type to target.

I would prioritise the money on an elite midfielder in the right age bracket. Draft a top 20 defender next year.
