Currently thinking of getting either a HTC Desire, a Samsung Galaxy S, or joining the sheep and getting an iPhone

from the tech boffins, what would they recommend to get, to avoid, and is there any other phone I should be looking at over these three?

ive heard great things about the galaxy and had a play with the desire. the desire is stunning and extremely functional

iPhones are very good. I am happy with mine.

Only minor concern is battery life.

Have an iphone which I find great, however make sure you log out from pre when using it

iphones are for teenage girls, get yourself a crappy nokia that does nothing but work as a phone.
make sure whatever you buy it doesnt make calls when your having a *smile*, I hate that

For those with a Samsung Galaxy S2, the long awaited update has been released.

Its 215 MB.

Go to Settings, About Phone, Updates to download.

Some good enhancements and fixes to the phone.
