Talking Politics

I saw a Trumpet of F*kwits ad last night that stated of The Greens, in an incredibly earnest and serious voice: "They are truly evil."

I'm no fan of the Greens, but truly evil? Jesus H.

So get this spam SMS as I’m about to fly home from nz to Melbourne.

What’s the truth and what’s the BS?

Since the last election, Zoe Daniel has voted with the Greens 76% of the time.

In February 2025, she voted against mandatory minimum sentences for terrorist offences.

She voted with Labor to protect the CFMEU by abolishing the building industry watchdog.

She has advocated for an increase to the GST after promising not to.

Zoe Daniel will vote with the extreme Greens.

Yeah, check out the terrifying stats, as provided by Lil Timmy Wanker and the Libs in Goldstein...

Why it gets to 150% is another issue.. haha

McSh!t in the USA has suffered it's biggest fall in revue since COVID.

Keep up the good work Donny boy, you're a genius.

"McDonald's has suffered its biggest drop in US sales since the height of Covid, a fall that it said was driven by people's concerns over the US economy.

Despite a marketing tie-in with the Minecraft movie and extended price deals, US customers made fewer visits to the burger chain in the first three months of this year, compared to a year ago."

Yay for erection day tomorrow, hope everyone is suitably excited. Sent my postal vote in a week ago to save me standing in line like an idjit. Reckon it's about time my favourite party got off their arses n finally won a few seats, they might even get to hold the balance of power n keep the major parties honest.
Not sure why the informal party never gets any seats up though, I keep voting for them n they never seem to get anywhere near winning a seat.

Nah, I like voting on the day and grabbing a democracy sausage while I'm waiting.

It's just a garden variety *smile* sheet. A bunch of info with no context spun a certain way...

I'm willing to wager, if you actually dug a little bit deeper, the 75% figure would be pretty meanless and benign for a few reasons:

First, she shares values with the greens, it's no secret, they sell themselves as conservative environmentalist.
Second, this dumb sheet rests on assumption, aimed at the stupid, that everything the greens vote on is radical or crazy left or whatever, ridiculous.
Third, following above, a lot, probably most green voting is on boring bread and butter, uncontroversial matters.
Fourth, following again, you'd find the greens would vote with the LNP and Katter etc on many matters. I wouldn't be surprised at 20%.

These no context, un credited *smile* sheets are always either wrong, or easily explained and mostly uncontroversial when investigated and put in context. Otherwise, why would they do it anonymously, unofficially, or under a shell organisation handle? They'd just do it publicly.

This is *smile* that they have used in Kooyong against Monique Ryan as well, it's plastered all over the place.

The truth is that the 76% (77% for Ryan) includes procedural issues in the parliament that have nothing to do with policy or legislation. Monique Ryan published her voting record based on who introduced the legislation. I can't remember what the exact number was but it was over 60% for all of them including the Liberals and Greens and labor were basically the same at around 70%.

The 150% is because of normal overlapping votes when she votes with 2 other parties, ie votes with greens/ALP, or ALP/ LNP

one of Family Firsts election platforms is Drag Queen Storytime Events

"Imagine your child coming home confused and distressed after attending a Drag Queen Storytime event.
The influence of these events can be far-reaching, potentially affecting their understanding of gender and their mental well being. You can’t let this happen to your kids! "

yikes

Yeh, much safer directing them to the church or the scouts.

I have a couple of kids but Family First is always last when I vote. Scary RW nutjobs.

Albo gets in line to Vote so he is a idjit. getting his photo taken as well. Duts smart Voted early when no line.

Here is Monique Ryan talking about the fallacy of their voting record. Zoe Daniel would be similar I expect

Yeah, I reckon it would be pretty much an identical circumstance that the LNP are trying to spin against the independents.

Hopefully, more and more people are seeing through the cynicism and judge the candidates on policy standings and what they have actually done.

Hopefully...

As someone who has obviously looked into the impact the independents have made in Aust politics and governing, I will defer to your allknowingness.

Rather buy a couple of snags at the local Bunnings cook up, got me a feeling them demo sausages would be somehow tainted. Way to much political *smile* n toxic air at that close range.
