Talking Politics

just recalled this is first election since 2016 when I was home.
2022 at Dreamtime game. And 2019 camping.

bob quit and Cleary won the by election but lost at the next federal election.
Yes as I voted for Phil twice, but it was Hawke’s damage that lost that seat. You are right though. Cleary had to win the seat after he was technically still enrolled as a teacher.

The old cannot be a government beneficiary to run…a clause in the constitution. Might be Ratnam taking the mantle on early numbers

only the noisiest constituents get to influence an independent…
I would argue differently. Independents are generally very close to their electorates, very local in their connections and much more visible to the electorate.

That’s the most coherent speech I’ve heard from Lambie. Made sense.
Looks like there is still mass opposition to the Hobart stadium. Does federal ALp have a position on funding it?

But in an electorate you have a spread of voters across the spectrum. Do they listen to those who didn’t vote for them? How do they reconcile the wide range of voters that still exist even in a teals electorate? I dont live in an electorate with a teal candidate but we did have a voices of candidate but not one who attracted Holmes a courts largesse.

Who is this James bloke from the LNP? If you want a reason why they are losing just look at him …
Not sure what you want him to be saying? As I said earlier I didn’t watch in 2019 but I would say any alp politician on a tv panel then would have probably come across in a similar way.

He called the greens 'a horrible bunch of racist anti-semites'

Statement like? Magmanious? Sane?

I know a 2 people who work for Monique Ryan and what I can tell you is that she spends a lot of time in her electorate and meets with enormous numbers of locals. She has a big local following

She also has a lot of town hall meetings which are actually very hard to get into because they are so popular

Normally am ABC viewer for the election, but Bill Shorten on Seven is very funny viewing.
