Too tall again? Supposed to be wet and no marshall hmmm

Forecast is for a wet and windy day with thunderstorms but they ease during the afternoon - reckon it will be a bit wet underfoot maybe but rain and wind should have past - still 2 days out so could change but I can’t see weather being a factor.

The age and experience factor dropped a mile with two 30 yo out and two under 20 yo in.

Out 503 games experience, in 14 + 13 = 27 games experience.

Dimma trusts our youth - go rebuild - I love it

Gibcus hasn't done much in the ressies and with the wet weather no need for another tall. Also, both Mitch Georgiades (Omitted), Todd Marshall (HS Protocol) are out.

We’ve probably picked our side without knowing their outs
Hope we make a few changes considering predicted weather

a little peculiar Sheds is out as soon as he hits 300 ... or is it ... ?

the line up looks good .. strong across each line ..

hope Sonsie and Gibcus have good ones over there
I reckon he's gonna call it quits soon enough.

I wouldve preferred Moju and Stack in for Grimes and Sheds.

Gibbus not needed against them this week, and didnt play that great last week either.

I know Stack didnt set the world on fire either but a smaller player with skill and sure hands in the wet is a better option.

Agree. Seem to have a fascination with rushing certain blokes straight back in. Gibcus been nowhere near early season form and with Balta moved back really no reason at all for him to come back in. Should have been Stack or Mansell

This is another week of silly team selection.

We are, yet again, going in to a game with 9 defenders.

Are we seriously going in with Nank and Miller as our Rucks?

Nank is barely moving and Miller is a backman.

Take both out, play Soldo and one of Dow/Stack/Hugo/Clarke. Granted, aside from Dow none had great games in the VFL, but neither did Gibcus.

I would have thought we learned last week that you play mids as mids, and forwards as forwards.

I'm not sure why we feel the need to handicap ourselves every week this year.

See Brisbane have named Zac Bailey, so it wasn't a Dustin Martin type injury. Flog of a club.

I hear you CT but I don’t mind the Nank/Miller combo.

Miller gives us flexibility and we don’t have to hide him on the bench like we did with Soldo.

With regards to Edwards I have seen this movie before.

I would be okay with it if we didn't also pick Gibcus.

We will absolutely be hiding him on the bench. He can't go back due to who else we have selected, and he is not a forward.

Give Edwards a rest.
He would have been on the cans after the game.
If he is anything like me now, it’ll take him days to recover from a night out.
Damn! You got it right again.

Why Gibcus?
Good to see Edwards is out We’re finally taking playing finals seriously
Hopefully out of the emergencies Mansell is the sub
No Stack..
Disappointed there.
Agree, out the emergencies I would have Mansell as the sub.
I hope they don’t play Gibsus forward.

Means possibly Balta forward.
Thought Miller did a good jog rucking in the second half.

Port have thrown Finlayson forward and dropped Georgiadis with Marshall Covid.

Too tall - us?

We want Gibcus to play a lot footy over the next few years - not to be destroyed in early days as an underweight pretend ruckman
Yeah hence Miller in the ruck and Gibbus in the VFL as Balta goes back to defence.

Theyve lost Marshall and Georgiades and going in with 2 extra smalls instead.

It shouldn't have mattered., once Marshall was out there was no need for an extra tall in Gibcus. Balta, Tarrant and Broad would take care of Dixon and Finlayson will play forward and 2nd ruck Also, the weather forecast is for rain.
