Rammstein are kick arse.

Ive learned a fair bit of basic German over the years listening to them and reading english lyric translations.

One of my go to Bands when hitting the weights.

Just a great show real performers, typical German preparation and precision................and outrageousness
Till Lindemann is my Cuz

I just heard a song from the 70's I didn't know. Joe Walsh 'Life's Been Good'. Great music and funny lyrics.

It is usually one of the highlights of any Eagles concert. His intro (around three tours back), was along the lines of: 'Evidently, I wrote this song in the '70s...'

That's funny. When it came on the radio this morning I said to my 16yo son, this has gotta be stoner music from California in the 70's. Can't believe I've never heard it before.

Tool's new album "Fear Inoculum" is out after a long time between drinks. Sounds good so far from what I've heard.

I have given it a lot of listens, and i'm disappointed (I got into them mid 90s).
As someone who was first introduced to Tool in '95, I probably anticipated this album as much as you.

Must say my first listen to the new album left me feeling the songs were quite disjointed and didn't flow. However twice daily listens since release and the songs are now familiar to me and I can't stop listening.

Musically I feel it's very much like Lateralus/10k days and over time will likely sit equal alongside 10k days in my eyes... Not an Undertow or Aenima but still a strong album.

Cheers.

Okay I’m a massive fan of Australian rock. The Angels, Midnight Oil etc etc.

IMHO AC/DC are the undisputed kings. But after 4 decades plus I have finally come to a conclusion. Powerage is the greatest album and Down Payment Blues the greatest song. There it is. I’ve said it. No doubt many will disagree but 40 years after the album and song were released they stand the test of time.

Long live Australian rock. Long live AC/DC. Long live Powerage.

Yeah I’ve always oscillated between Back in Black and Highway to Hell as the best. But I’ve been listening to Powerage quite a bit recently and I’ve put it just above those two now.

Sin City gets me going. The way Bon sings that song is brilliant and as a wordsmith, almost unparalled.

listening to onefour. very rool gangster rap from GWS, minus the greater.

when the Feds threatened to counter terror them if they play another gig, my ears pricked up.

they are certainly no choir boys. angry and violent as *smile*.

I guess being calm and peaceful hasn't got minority groups very far?

take a listen. Kind of housos and Jonah from Tonga, without the comedy.

I reckon gangsta in aussie leb bogan is pretty refreshing.

I'd be reluctant to go to a live show. If I did, I'd take 2 feet of 1 inch gal pipe down my duds o_O

Aren't they islanders? Police certainly doing nothing more but increasing their fame.

Can imagine the appeal for some but no interest for me, too difficult to relate to their story.

Much prefer DavidSSS music recommendation above

I've been listening to a whole raft of different stuff, from Mahler to A.B. Original, and currently on a massive Linda Ronstadt bender. My parents had an album or two of hers when I was a kid so I've always liked her. My god, what a voice. And a face to match. As Willie Nelson said, "There are two types of men, those with a crush on Linda Ronstadt, and those who don't know who she is."

All I want for Christmas is 1977 Linda Ronstadt.
