Training for DRAFT PICKS!!!!

how did Vlastuin go today?
training today was a total Tigga watch for me, the good news is that he completed full session and was kicking pretty well and over distance.
Only reason he wouldn't play is if he pulls up sore.
**DTLD did very little today, hopefully just putting him in cotton wool as precaution due to the loss of Grimes.

aah - everytime I see the subject line "Training for our threepeat", I reflect on the fact that for so many years, the happiest place was the training thread before the season started ..
Remember the year Wallace had the pre-season Olympics? When much of the squad suffered overuse injuries from going too hard too soon?

I remember one training day when Trent Knobel training consisted of pushing a car on the punt road oval. Don’t think he ever played again.

Cluey fellas those Ruckman . You’d think someone would have shown him how to turn the key

I remember hearing the story ,at Club80 I think , where Greg Stafford had been fitted with the latest GPS tracking devise and to the fitness trainers amazement he’d racked up some huge amount of Ks during the training session at Vic Park , unfortunately for Staf , the GPS didn’t just tell how far and fast somebody had travelled but also where they had been , the tracker had shown that Staf had jumped in his car and drove around the streets near Vic Park before handing it in

Yep, pretty sure that was club 80.

Staff got some PBs for distance, only for them to work out his times meant he was doing like 50kmh or something.
Next came the unravelling lol.

Did he have to wash it when he got it to the the other end?
Sounds like one of Wallace's old tricks.
Wax on - wax off

Oi!
Easy going there Mr Belowheight.
Unfair on us ruckmen.
Some of us know the car can kick over and start if it gets enough speed

Not if it's an automatic :))
Wait, now you're starting to get all technical. Dont forget its harder for us ruckfellas cos our heads are a long way from our bodies so its harder to pick things up

Trent Cotchin also pushed cars at punt road when he first arrived

Trent had Achilles issues (under developed) and was always sore and couldnt train so they made him push car up the car park of punt road oval

No wonder we were struggling back then. Focussed on pushing cars rather than footy skills

Thanks eddazol.
Amazing stuff.
You'd think he was in training for Mr America or something.
Were they try to pull 2 buses with just a rope.

No wonder we were as Ronald Dale Barassi would say: Ess Haitch 1 Thomson! :))
The glove

I think Cotchin and Prestia need to get back pushing cars for rehab.
Worlds strongest man.

Pretty certain that Nathan Foley also did the same thing.

Richmond football club has mad surprising admission that Trent Cotchin's hamstring problems are due to pushing cars up the hill in his younger days and will most likely shorten his career from 6 premierships to 5 and is expected to retire at the end of 2022 following his 5th premiership win as captain.
