Dwayne has been positive towards the Tiges for awhile, even during the finals series last yr. Gave honest opinions. Said his heart wanted the Cats to win GF but logic says RFC would win GF. We wld be hard to beat. He has been a breath of fresh air compared to others with agendas
no secret that how we play = our Free kick ladder placement. If the last 4-5 years results in what has transpired the last it is.!!!! Also gives no ground what so ever for opposition fans to talk about free kick favoritism.

Our worse 3 or 4 would be Deboy, Fleer, OGorman and Mollison.
Watch out if we ever get Gianfagna. He was the one that screwed us in the final against Brisbane last year.
I currently think Razor Ray, Stevic, Meredith & Rosebury are the best option.
I can’t confirm or deny that Posh. The sample size is too small. If I had the inkling, wasn’t so lazy, and had a motivating factor, I could go back and correlate the data from past seasons to confirm.

The senior umpires tend to officiate in a more mature, finals-type manner. Except McInerney. That guy hated us.
It seems that Cotchin in particular was highlighted when discussing "encroaching on the mark". I wonder if we were used as examples in other areas, and maybe used in the video presentations that has caused umpires to be "more aware" of Richmond players in certain situations and so see our jumpers before they see the opposition?
Nice theory, except for the fact we had the lowest free kick percentage in 2017 before we were the big bad Tigers, even in 2016 when we played a different style of footy we were negative on free kicks.
I don't know what it is but it is looking less like incompetence and more like some sort of bias at the moment.
In 2021 so far we are 80 frees for and 116 against, that's a 69% ratio. no other team is below 70%. Meanwhile Footscray are at 129%. Port don't do well either, except against us.
Crowd can't be the factor everyone bleats about - we have had 2 home games and lost the free kick count both times, and this is with the biggest supporter base in the league.
The AFL has some explaining to do.

It doesn’t matter who it is, I think there’s something written into their code of conduct that they are to ensure that under no circumstances should the Tigers get more frees than their opponent.
It would be interesting to see the stats when we play in our traditional jumper vs the clash jumper. We seem to get a better deal from the Umps in the clash. If the stats back that up I reckon we should once again be the league trailblazers and make the clash our away jumper. It might help a little more in WA and SA.
