In fairness I thought we gave away a few cheapies in the last quarter when the game was over. In particular some 'made him earn it' free in the marking contest.

Wondering if that was the umpires ‘look at me’ moment. Admittedly Dusty was lucky that it wasn’t Shovekins he pushed. Shovekins would have gone into orbit and Dusty would have been reported.
There were a couple of howlers which allowed them back into the game. Doubt the 'cheapies' made it a 13-3 differential. But we're used to it. I think it helps us psychologically to be able to fret on the umpire farce thread.
There was a period at the end of the 2nd where we were crucified by the umps.
There was a HTB decision in the middle of the ground, we tackle them, they drop it. Play on. We get tackled not more than 5 seconds later, tackle clearly over the shoulder (was almost a clothesline round the head), ball is held in. HTB to them. Was a joke. Should have been our free, then gave it to them. Crowd wasn't happy.
Remember it's a strength of our games that opposing fans sit together. We can observe their anguish close up.
Not sure what the free kick count was at 3/4 time but these are the ones paid in the last.

Umps review would concluded they should’ve started to give more frees to the Pies from Halftime to keep them close.
Interesting groups of frees… might be a tactic to pressure a turnover or to slow down the chip mark opposition. I didn’t feel confident with 6 minutes to go, was thinking it might go down to the wire with umps jumping in to force a momentum change.

Sorry, I looked at what I thought was 3/4 time at the game and it was 15 all. Must’ve not been 3/4 time.
No worries. The main issue is just the final quarter with those 7 in a row (last 4 questionable). Is 14 steps too far to run without bouncing the ball?
Yes. By a mile. You get 15m. Each step when running would be around 1.5m unless changing direction. So 14 steps would likely be around 20m.
