Umpire farce - Getting worse by the minute!

The Taranto deliberate was staggering. Which one of them has money on the free kick differential?

Ok. So the umps assume Dustin fends off at all opportunities.

That last play of the 3rd qtr he simply took the tackle over the boundary like will happen 1000 times this year.

Still amazes me that they replay a free against us or talk about a free not paid against us but hardly see they opposite.

And did the cartoon player make contact to the ball when he jumped on Mansell’s head in the last minute?

I actually reckon we were mildly shafted, which is normal, as opposed to beyond belief inarguably shafted. There was an 'interesting' one in the first Q, forget who involved, no way to prove it, but I swear, ump blew whistle to pay free to us for dropping it, then tackler fell into carlton players back at very end, ump changed his mind between blowing whistle and paying the free, free to them in the back.

to be clear, blew whistle for a free to us, paid a free to them.

Its not only the ones we dont get but it seems without a doubt each week once we get a run on they pull a couple out of their behinds and get the opposition back in the game.

The frustration isnt as much that they award free kicks against but that they never pay the same type of offence for us

Agreed, they weren't insipid, there were a few head scratchers which is pretty normal. We got some lucky ones too - the Saad (i think) chopping of the arms was fortunate.

Frees 25-19, don’t need to say who’s way. Look, I thought they weren’t TOO bad but my main gripe was the amount of times we tackled them and they dropped the ball or didn’t even try and get rid of it and ….nothing. I don’t know how many HTB or incorrect disposal frees we got but I can recall about 1. Even James Brayshaw in the last commentated “Carlton player just let go off the ball. And again.” then sure as shut they pinged Bolton for incorrect disposal right after those 2 dropping the balls.

How more obvious does this have to be.

The non free against Mackay in the 3rd; then the soft free to Saad; which led to a goal, were both critical errors. We had just kicked 3 in a row and had all momentum.

I picked +7 so I was one off. Pretty happy with +6. normally it’s worse.

Whilst not that great, Richmond was a bigger issue itself tonight than the umpiring.

So Curnow fended off Nank in the last when getting tackled but no free. Is that just a rule for Dusty now? Even when he’s out of bounds?
