Depends on what you mean by the contrary gang Antman.
That Richmond has the worst free kick differential of any side in the last 4 years is a fact, however I certainly don't believe there is some vendetta on Richmond. I do however think it is interesting to muse about why that might be.
What is also true is that the movement against us in free kick stats came at the exact time we became a successful team so it can only be assumed that the two are related in some way i.e. the way we play
The murmurings have a solid factual basis and are tempered only by the paradoxical winning of premierships.

That's the only way I can see it too Bennnny. Being a Tiger, I'm more than happy to *smile* about the constant bias of the umpires against us.
Truth of the matter is that we probably play a very robust style of finals footy all year long while other teams are prissing about gathering stats n controlling the momentum all year and inevitably falling short when they're required to play four qtrs of unrelenting pressure finals footy.
As long as we keep winning flags n confounding all the other coaches n gurus who completely fail to understand how we're doing it, I'll wear not getting much love from the mouldy green maggots.

The players are more focussed so they just get on with it. Arguing takes your focus off your opponent and the setup.

That’s true but I love the way supporters whinge and whine about umpires. It’s part of the fabric of an AFL crowd.
The Bronx cheers when your team gets a free kick when they are behind in the free kick count ( and usually the game), it’s all part of the theatre which makes being in an AFL crowd so much fun. I miss it a lot.

I don't think much about the umpires except when the game is on. I yell at them whether they're good or bad.
This is another 1%er we are way ahead of other clubs as a group on. When you are arguing with the ump you aren’t setting up defensively. Not arguing could easily save four or five goals a season. Mindfulness huge in this regard.
not sure how to fix our brain fade 50s though. Martin pickett and Bolton room to improve here. they have certainly hurt. Caddy’s would be hilarious with Benny hill music.
