Three games this round, double figure free kick differential in favor of the winners/leaders in every game.

One of the wa umps has a wife who works for the eagles and is not allowed to umpire their games vs dockers (so my mum tells me)

time for a review of the AFL. Peggy has been pushing for it and surprise surprise - rule changes, lopsided free kick counts. There would be a lot going on behind the scenes.

But he can umpire Eagles games against anyone else?

Unfortunately due to poor umpiring, apart from Richmond games i hardly watch the others anymore.

I used to watch 4 or 5 a weekend.

Heard that one umpire in the Syd Ess game paid 16 frees to Sydney, 0 to Essendon.

Holding the ball rule has to change. If you dont dispose of it properly after being tackled it has to be holding the ball. It doesnt matter if it got knocked out, it slipped, you dropped it, missed your foot or hand. It has to be holding the ball.

So easy to adjudicate this one.

It’s the whole general product for me. If it wasn’t for Richmond I wouldn’t watch AFL at all. Excluding finals I haven’t watched a full non Richmond game for probably 5 years.

Umpires woeful, we got reamed, nothing new, just gotta deal with it at Adelaide or Perth. But what underlined it for me, dusty in the centre, half took possession, ball spills, HTB free against. Soon after, rozee in their fwd line, exactly the same, free for HTM.

There was 1 in either the 2nd quarter or the last (we were attacking right of screen). Jones (he's 19 did you know) takes position, takes a couple of steps, tackled by 1, another joins in the tackle. He drops it then is taken to ground. Holding the man. Hey, how about you pay dropping the ball you maggots!

The reaming continued with the MRP and us copping three fines for fairly nothing incidents.

Yeah, they were particularly bad last night but I have to disagree with the observation that being in Adelaide or Perth is a factor - if you were at the MCG last week you would know that where we play makes little difference. When they want to f*** us over they do it properly.

That was the one that summed up the whole game from the umpires for me too.

Swans, Port & Dogs get favourable umpire treatment as the home town umpiring is in full swing. Some of the decisions in these games have been beyond belief.
