Welcome to the Tigers - Daniel Rioli

Hopefully doesn't demand what other teams are offering for his next contract.

If we can get a contract win with Rioli like we did wih Shorty, things like this are a key to sustained success.
Prob why he hasn’t t signed yet and likely he only re signed ,last year for 12m coz he wasn’t bowled over by what we offered , in our defence he only turned around his game sec half of year , was dropped prior

Revelation.
He's kicking more goals from the backline than when he was having his dry spell as a forward.
Amazing.
Run and Carry.
Skill. And a dead eye *smile*.
Someone near our seats referred to him as Bachar 2.
Who ever came up with this idea of sending him back will be very pleased with themselves.

Daniel made a few horrible errors at crucial times late last week. Really costly errors. But he got the 8 SI.

He ran the game out better today, got more touches and 9 Score Involvements. Albeit against much lesser opposition.

He got caught out a couple of times (Cripps?) but was often awesome.

This trend in SI is planned. We want him to get real hurty off HB. Everybody else works the perimeter. Daniel cuts the guts open. All planned.

Still plenty of improvement to come. And more challenges.

I will plot the SI trend but I note that for decades coaches vary the running back they want off the leash. That said, we want an overall upward trend from Daniel Rioli.

Risk taking? Oh, yeah.

Yeah, last week's game was hectic, much easier to run out today's game.

Geez, you have to be so fit to play the way Rioli plays, not sure many could run out a pressured game like the one against Geelong as an attacking half back.

He's doing great and the occasional drift forward and goal just makes the opposition more nervous about what Rioli is going to do.

We get to see how this plays out, DS. Exciting times.

I agree that he has done well as our Houli replacement, but Houli's running ability was absolutely elite. I'm not sure Daniel will ever reach that level.

Dan's running ability is not really that far off Bachar

Drioli has a great tank and his repeats are elite and top speed would be top 2% in the league imo

Thoughts go out to Willy Rioli for the loss of his Father and to Daniel Rioli and Maurice Rioli Jnr for the loss of their Uncle.
For those unaware, Willy Rioli Snr passed away yesterday at the age of 50.
He was Maurice Rioli’s younger brother.

I'd say Maurice Jr will take leave, and Daniel as well.
