Emerged with a bullet. Took the game on and it came off for him a few times. He's been building to this. Good on him. And good on the coaches for insisting he learn to get a kick in the midfield.

I’m convinced after today.
Will be a player. His physical attack on the ball, strength in the contest and burst of speed were impressive. And will only get better.
100% agree. He loves a contest, has speed and looks like he will learn and grow into a very competitive midfielder. Exciting times!

I saw my first real indications of a prospect today.

And they were pretty *smile* strong indications.

Been playing like a crude brute from what ive seen all year

Then plays like a big moment polished brute in a GF.

*smile* ripper. Looked like Bjorn Bontempelli today

I love when a player simply decides to own a contest. The initiative in this kid is superstar-like. Those goals were unique, he’s not exactly a Fyfe or a Dangerfield clone, he seems to have his own brand.

It’s going to be fun watching him develop under this great Richmond culture.

Took a big step today. Still no rush with RCD, he is learning a difficult midfield role so another season in VFL won’t hurt. Look out 2021 with 2 more preseasons under his belt. Going to be fun watching him and Ross come through together supplying the grunt for the runners.

i'm a believer...............RCD's and Jack Ross's attack at the the ball, is ..........Towner and Marlion Pickett like.
It's no coincidence, that the Mar-Lion King and Towner have set a fantastic example to the likes of RCD, and Jack Ross.

I have watched alot of our VFL team this year and up until last week, I really wasn't sure whether he would make it or not.

Last week's game against Port was a bruising, physical contest against a much bigger bodied team.
RCD put his body on the line time after time, and did not shirk a contest.

Today, another physical game. RCD went in hard every contest, tackled like a man possessed, got plenty of the ball and was in our best 3 players in a grand final!

He really showed today that he has explosive speed and his 2 x running goals were amazing. He found space when he needed to.

He is a big boy and was still growing at the start of this year.

His game today reminded me of Bontempelli in his 1st year.

And he loves a physical contest too.

Loved his second goal on the run critical one that was very slickly set up by Pickett.

Delicious.

This is the difference between 2009 and 2019. 10 years ago he would have been thrown in and played senior footy and been physically out of his depth. These days we let them develop in an elite system with a great coach.

Best game I've seen him play and chose a GF to do it. Great goals but I particularly liked his defensive efforts. Still a long way to go but that was promising.

On the flip side was disappointed with Naish's final series. The knock on him is his strength in contested pressure situations and that looked a definite issue for him in the finals.

Hyphen even as a junior always played better in bigger games, I definitely think there is something to be said for recruiting players from successful junior programs (RCD & Ross both had great finals series last year in u18's).

development - what a bloody good transition when our mids start to retire to have the likes of Ross - Dawkins even stack ready to roll in the midfield. Not forgetting in just a little over 1 year we land Murice Rioli Jr at punt road too.

Wouldn't be pinning my hopes on MRJ from what i have seen thus far.
