Good god.

Just looked at the draw for the Nicholls round and guess what?

Geelong and Collingwood once again get the soft draw.

The Cats play .....wait for it...Crows on the 23rd August. Good one AFl.

Then there is the Mudpies....North on the 24th. Another good one AFL.

Why are they both so looked after?

So the last 4 games we must get WC, Freo, Crows and geelong. Is that right?

if we haven't played them yet, yes. They'll likely all be in QLD too, so that's a big win for us regarding the WA sides.

There’s not now and never has been a ‘soft’ draw. There is no way when they do the draw that they know what is going to happen. Last year our final game against the Lions would have looked soft at the start of the season, but they finished 2nd on the ladder. And as antman said playing each other once makes it even more of an impossibility. What I’d like to know why the marquee game of the Doug Nicholls round has been fixtured so that it clashes with another game?

Thats what I was unsure of. Lockdown drinking hasn't been good for my short term memory.

:afro

I know how you feel, but I'm pretty certain we haven't played any of those sides yet

We will beat the Eagles in Qld and we will belt the sheizen out of Freo and the Crows. Geelong meh.

Could well be fighting forr 2nd spot going into those last 4, and those 4 games in Kwee Lan could very well help us get there.

Freo are nigh on done and close to putting the cue in the rack, whilst the Crows already have.

Not a word said in the media about the Crows whove recently admitted they and are going into a list rebuild..............the Tank is on.

Will be a fire sale from the crows of older campaigners at years end.

The Cats and Hawks will be all over em topping up for just one more shot :))

Sounds fine to me.
Type of games you want going into the finals.
2 hard games, 2 easy games.

How we go against WC and Geelflop will be an insight comes finals.

Probably fixture WC & Cats last two.
Happy with that!
Great hit out.

Soft? Adelaide and North will be playing for a spot in the 8 by then.

Everyone is going to play everyone once - venues aside, fairest draw since 1986.
Whinging about WHEN x plays y is no different to whinging about us getting a zillion games in a row at the G at the end of last year.

I think they have to be in Qld, if things stay as they are.

West Coast couldn't play 13/17 at Optus surely?

You want a bet. Freo and West C won't leave WA again this year

We'll play Geelol in Brisbane, Adelaide in SA and Freo and West C in Perth. Bet on it. AFL are right off us apparently.

that would be about the only serious inequitable thing about the season IMO.

75% home games WC to 25% Richmond doesn't stand up.

even if WC have to stay in WA, surely they make them play a few in Port Hedland of Kalgoorlie as away games?

They won't go to Port Hedland, but I'm worried that it will be set up for the Eagles to stay in Perth.

I'm praying the AFL finds some level of equity in the draw and the Eagles have to come back into the QLD Hub. If they do I reckon they'll go to water again. Could go out of finals in straight sets.

Or the AFL could just shaft us (again).

I'm not worried. If we have to go to WA for the H&A so what, I doubt it makes or breaks our season. The important thing is finals in QLD which will suit us just fine.
