Good to have two big men in as one thinks the days of one specialist ruck man is done & dusted.

Damien's team selections are a mystery.
Short 's inclusion is a joke. Houli plus Short in the backline = disaster.
Boulton back in = never should have been dropped in the first place.
Baker dropped =joke
Only positives are Higgins & Butler finally out of the side.

Since 2000 the record is 51-11-39-1 (23%), excluding the first game of the season.

Richmond is 1 from 1 in that period (R15 2012 v Melbourne).

I'd suspect most times if you are making 7 changes it is due to injured players going out. This would have to be a pretty rare occurrence. I'm still in awe how you get some of these stats. Amazi g.

Good ins, but sometimes too many ins can mean the team is a bit off. Will be interesting to see how we go, must win and hopefully win well.

Not fussed about too many ins when they include the likes of Cotchin, Lambert, Edwards, Astbury
And if Riewoldt and Nank were fit too it’d be a case of “too many ins are barely enough” - as Roy and HG would say

Can't understand what some don't see in short,he's a gun ,big ball carrier, long kick ,after our flag in 17,he broke into a premiership side and was one of the big reasons we improved even further , personally would play him on a wing ahead of McIntosh .

Gold Coast (SE - QLD).
Teams are in. We've dropped 7 players!!!! o_O o_O

Extremely unlike Dimma. The only one I really disagree with is Baker; really can't believe he's been dropped. His form has been pretty good hasn't it? It certainly was in the first 10 rounds. How he gets dropped before Ellis is mind boggling. Also struggle to see how Short comes straight back after 3 months out.

Anyway it's the strongest team we've had for quite a while so hopefully it produces the result we need.
Just Four key players missing

Should win on Lee's stats. Short, Houli and Ellis down back will cause some concern.

Been concerned about this game as the Saints tend to match up well against us, but it's a very inexperienced St.Kilda 22. Drop this and we may as well pack it in.

Newnes, Armitage & Rowe as emergencies... it's as though Richardson's being tested in the same was as Bolton before he got chopped.

can't find any positives in the return of Cotch, Astbury, Edwards and Lambert?

Bloody hell...7 for 7. Biggest change I've ever seen in AFL history. Obviously giving the returners a 'practice match' against the Aints before the big ones come.

Just noticed something trivial, but we don't play a Saturday afternoon game at the G until Port in R18. Something I've missed badly this season.

I’ve noticed the same thing too TF. Has pissed me off and I have asked the club to bat deeper next year.Bloody hell we are the biggest club in the league and we prop up the AFL coffers so we need to demand a better draw ala Colonwood has been getting for yonks.

We played them at least once at the G last year in our home game and I also think the return bout was at the G even though it was the Saints home game. We also pantsed them at the G in the last game of 2017; about 6 weeks after they smashed us at Chernobyl.

North Melbourne is another matter. We haven't played them at the G in a H&A game since 2012!!

Just hope and pray we don't run out of steam in the last quarter.

Lack of game time could impact with fitness levels.
