some wags pointing out that we still haven't beaten anyone in the top four

1. Collingwood were top four at the time of the game.
2. As we are now in the top four, there are only three other teams in the top four and we haven't played two of them (but actually that fact alone - that we have not played second or third yet - could be argued as artificially inflating our ladder position).

Looking like Perth or Brisbane as possible QF games.

Geelong pretty easy run home. They still look like #1 to me and will be hard for us to knock off 2nd or 3rd. For me if we can hold 4th it looks most likely Geelong but anything can still happen from here. Bombers o GWS the most likely prospects to kick us out of the 4. Getting very tight now for us sitting on 12 wins wedged between 3 teams on 13 wins and potentially 3 teams on 11 wins most with fairly similar percentages.

Or it artificially inflates their ladder position because they haven’t lost to Richmond yet.

Time will tell.

Our fate is in our hands. Win every game from here and it comes down to percentage. And those 3 late goals to the Pies may bite hard.

Geelong beating Brisbane will help as Brisbane have a game against The Suns

Just thinking about the fact we could have won by more takes me back to the Preliminary Final last year. Collingwood are a quality team, that's why the second we took the foot off the gas they could score a few goals quite quickly. Although we lost last year's Prelim by a fair margin, we were, what, about 20 points behind early in the last quarter? That's because, although we weren't playing well and they were outplaying us, we could get close because we are a quality team.

You take a strong win against a genuinely good team any day.

Are they still sooking about there fulken injuries.
5 years ago it was a issue it’s not today,
They recruit/draft players with history of injuries and worse they keep on the list to they rot.
Wells, he is lucky to play 2 games in a row, Scanberg history of leg issues since a junior, , Beams was always injured under Malthouse , Adams for a young bloke can’t string games together, too fat.
Then they keep players that are always injured Reid I would’ve kept brown and pissed him off, Elliott no comment, Moore try to off load him not made for football.
What’s Dunn still on the list for?
The only injury they have copped this year is to Langdon.

An incredible number of posts in this thread are preoccupied by what the media are saying about us. Remember, you have the option to make a decision to stop consuming all AFL media and just watch the games.

That’s what I‘ve done for 18 months and I’m happier watching. I see the shows as a manufactured, sophisticated version of a clickbait headline.

Ask yourself - when you’re watching AFL talk shows or reading the AFL-approved media, what percentage of your time are you listening to something genuinely insightful about the game?

How about on here?

Quitting the AFL’s slot machine media is totally worth considering.
agree totally mate & have done the same for about 6 years now, get all my info from Club80, PRE & watching every game live then replay

Worse news for the cold pies
Degoey apparently has done a hammy.
Maybe Moore and him can read a book together

Champion Crap Data.
Where's the numbers to show how injury prone the Collingwood clowns are?
