Oh East Melbourne!
That’s super vision Antman. Shows Graham’s true worth. Huge tackle... quickly back up for second effort where he taps the ball free... gets on the sprint...handball receive and lace out kick to Jack. All whilst Grundy is still trying to get up.

Yep three efforts. Starting to run over the ground and has stopped fumbling. Probably only starts getting serious when we approach September :)

You see grundy look around after the tackle as if to say what WTF was that!

I'm sure that will be highlighted in the review, easily his best game since 2017 GF.

He didn't over commit to the initial tackle and then he doesn't fumble and gets it away cleanly.

Watched the Gold Coast game and the GC kids were great in their pressure all day. Lost the game though when kids (might have been the same one) over committed in tackles in the last quarter and were side stepped and play opened up.

Should be compulsory viewing for the posters constantly saying Graham is slow.

In the main it's not about foot speed, it's about...

QUICK, EFFECTIVE BALL MOVEMENT

... and ...

QUICK, EFFECTIVE DECISION MAKING.

And each player's overall contribution, moment by moment, has either a postive or negative effect on those factors.

How’s the work rate on him? That’s as good a 15 second effort you will see. Five efforts and then polish with the kick. Not sure I’ve seen a better passage from him ever. It’s just the regularity of that type of stuff that stops him being classed higher.

Played 33 games. Could have 2 flags, in less than 50 games.
And that’s the counter to the above. By game 75 we will know what time of player he is destined to be.

I remember that tackle whilst at the game and at the time thought how on earth was that not holding the ball? 3 days later and I am still thinking the same thing.

Stolen from Bigfooty, but yeah, it's great vision.
