Round 23 - Other Games aka the final countdown

The funny thing for me is that id we win we will finish higher than we expected and people ***** and moan about %.
It's just a buffer if we lose. We're not guaranteed a win everytime. Anything could happen.

Dunno about that. I expected to finish top 2 at start of the season:p

But yes we’ve done well since the bye; a great recovery. But also I can’t see how anyone can argue against the benefits of percentage. Is there anyone who would rather us play the Lions in a final at the Gabba as opposed to the MCG? And look at Geelong. They’ve been poo since the bye but they smashed teams before that and it’s given them a top 2 spot.

That’s not to say we cannot win at the Gabba. Of course we can. But it’s an easier task at the G. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves; gotta win tomorrow first.

If we lose to the Lions on our own deck we ain't a contender anyway.

Totally agree.
We are Essendon 2000
Brisbane haven't got a good side, its a one year wonder side.
If we lose to them tommorow.
We wont win the flag.
Opening the door for WC to stay in the top 4 would be disastrous outcome

You have to back yourself to beat anyone anywhere,

If we did beat Brisbane in Brisbane, at least it would shut up the haters that go on about us and the g

Winning form is good form. I say we win every game we play no matter where we play it, if we’re not good enough to do that then so be it. If we do play Brisbane up there and beat them then at least it’ll stop all that crap about being favoured by location.

That's it, Carna
Winning solves any of the potential problems.

i remember the last game last year against the doggies.
We were lucky to win I thought came away from that thinking we'd wanna lift going into the finals.
It looked like we were struggling towards the end last year.
This year the opposite?
Well we will see today.
Considering the injuries we've had this year and the lack on continuity with our players on the field this year, we've done well to get into this position.
I thought at one stage we might just scrape in but here we are going for a top for spot and a double chance!

Its beautiful isnt it?

Unless things go even crazier with the Crows beating the Dogs, we either play Horks or Bummers if we lose and finish 5th. Easier path?
Actually don't mind the ides of having the " Loss "we need to have against Brisvegas. Then have the freshen up week off leading into the finals and a proper uninterrupted run of four games in a row to chase the flag. Don't like the miss one win one miss one play a prelim like we did last year. Much prefer the players get the weekly game routine same as happens all year.

No way Maso. You take top 4 every day of the week. The breaks didn’t hurt us a bit in 2017.

Plus our recent record in elimination finals is disastrous. Give me the double chance any day.

Got to laugh at some people
Some peanut talking about how great collingwoods last 4 games have been. How their defence is able shut down scoring opportunities.
Peaking at the right time for finals

For *smile* sake, they’ve played
Gold Coast
Melbourne
Adelaide
Essendon (who could have won if they didn’t rest so many players)
