The other games - The Semi Finals

Toby Greene with his hands near the eyes of a player on the ground again. What is it with this tip rat?

He just needs to let his footy do the talking. He's such a good player but its so easy to dislike him because of how much of a twat that he is.

Robertson needs to “tag” de Boer.

yeah, he is tough and willing, but I don't think he has the talent to time a good hit. Hope he does, it would be well worth the sacrifice to the side. The Robinson for Robertson swap is massive, a tough talented player for a tough talentless player. He's done pretty well though surprisingly, just going in hard and banging it on the boot.

Hope GWS win.
They’ll battle ram Collingwood all game.

its a good point, and I hope you're right, but it has a feel of contrived, professional physicality to me rather than actual real finals do-or-die desire. Can't see them keeping it up at the G with no crowd support and massive opposition support.

The rule everyone keeps quoting is for injured players receiving treatment on the field. Not for players who are patched up and come back on. How can umpire determine if an injury is being targetted on an opposition player.

It’s pretty ******* obvious Cameron is badly injured and it’s pretty ******* obvious players were targeting his injured elbow. It is is against the spirit of the game and the rulesI really don’t understand the problem people on here have with it

Because you shouldn't get special treatment on the field just because you're injured. If you're injured and you can't accept the additional LEGAL treatment then get off the ground.

If they whack the injured part of the body?

How can the umpires judge what is injured? What if a player brings an injury into a game? Players will start wearing bandages all over and no-one will be allowed to lay a tackle.

Lions are nowhere near a number 2 team. I reckon with Hogde retiring, they'll drop to mid-table next season.

No they're a good side. But keep saying you need finals experience before you can realistically threaten as a premiership contender. Brisbane haven't seen finals for a long time.

as it stands it is a can of pandoras I agree, but whacking should just be illegal, it is illegal. But some whacking is tolerated for no logical or objective reason. Thats the issue.

As I mentioned earlier, When Robertson tagged dusty a few years ago and just whacked him all day, it was bewildering to me at the time why the ump didn't just blow the whistle and pay a free.

Can't see it. Just a one hit wonder team with no real structure. How many has skinny Rafa kicked tonight?

Agree but the legalities of just whacking someone for the sake of it is a different argument.

“Let him up”
“Let go of him. I said let him go”
“Don’t you touch him”

Who’s umpiring this game?
Sounds like a group of Mums.
