didn't Koch also say something about us wearing our home strip despite "GWS finishing higher." pretty sure i read that somewhere.
He did. It was all over Twitter and he was smashed for it.

“I did think whenever Richmond scored a goal -- did I hear the roar of the tiger from the scoreboard go off? I’m not sure you’re meant to do that when it’s a final. It’s not a Richmond home game. Rob Chapman and I were talking before the game about why GWS had to wear their clash jumper when they finished higher on the table than Richmond. And it really wasn’t a clash at all.

“It’s little things like that that Rob and I and the other non-Victorian presidents just have to keep beating the drum that there is no V in AFL -- it’s an A now. We’ve got to be vigilant because the Victorians can get really cocky about this stuff, that’s it’s the home of football. It is not the home of football, it is a national sport that is right the way around the country.”
I can honestly say if it was played I certainly didn't hear it over the crowd. I'm also sure if they played the roar they played the GWS theme song after each of their three goals. They certainly did that in the perlim in 2017. Thats why you can hear the GWS theme song after the siren (because they kicked a goal on it) before the RFC theme song starts.

And his comment on the crowd is pathetic. So he thinks the same number of supporters should be allowed in so the numbers are even? Bit hard when one team has 500 supporters!

You would think someone in his position, would make sure he got his facts right before going public with a rant.

He is a second grade pundit and as most of the alleged first grade pundits often get it wrong, we can't expect much from the likes of Cornes and Koch. I know Koch is not considered a real pundit but you get my drift

Funny that when Port played Suns in China he threw a hissy fit over the Suns wearing their jumper, despite being no clash.

Oh, That’s right, he was upset the 3 Chinese locals who went to the game might barrack for the Suns as they have the Chinese colours.

Short memory I bet the cretin wasn't too upset when the Power massacred us in that Elimination Final disaster over there in 2014 or whenever it was.
And they did that stupid song before the game.
A distinct advantage...

First it was the amount of games at the MCG now it’s the sounds coming from the MCG.
The joint is rooted.
When we were on the bottom , I never heard Hawthorn or Collingwood copping this crap.
Koch is a imbecile, he should just take care of his no supporters, no money shiit football club.

And how many of those 13 mcg games do we get a pure home ground advantage? Probably 4 or 5. The interstate teams and geelong get at least 10.

Tigers played 12 games at the MCG this year in the home and away season, only 5 of those were against teams who weren't co-tenants ie ONLY 5 games with a home ground advantage. Port Adelaide, as an example, played 12 games at Adelaide Oval, only one of those against a co-tenant ie ELEVEN games played with a home ground advantage. So the Koch's of this world can go and get $^#%&. Koch is part of a cr@p team, cr@p culture, cr@p history. That ain't the Tigers fault.

I think for GWs is thunder or a earthquake noise.
Doesn't really stand out like a roar.

I have only recently had the opportunity to watch the DVD, I watched at Punt Rd on Saturday.

The shots when GWS kicked a goal were narrower and generally only showed the players in a tightly framed shot. However, you can still clearly see that there are GWS messages running around the ground . . . in exactly the same way that there are Richmond messages when we kicked a goal. I couldn't hear enough to comment on the sound but those who were there are confirming their promo sounds were played, again exactly the same as for Richmond.

What a joke, Koch gets it wrong on both points. Idiot.

Yeah this, Hawthorn won 3 in a row where was the bleating about the MCG then? Were they bleating about the MCG back in the 1950s when Melbourne won 5 out of 6?

Utter utter bulls***

They need to take a leaf out of our book and concentrate on the things they can control not whinge about perceived disdadvantages . . . then again, they can keep doing this for decades as far as I'm concerned, will keep them in the position they so truly seem to deserve.

We had to drag ourselves out of a decades long mire of mediocrity - they want to succeed, they need to do the same.
