3. Automatic debit for next year's membership. After numerous past phone calls and emails about this and being assured it couldn't happen again, it did. I expect this from **** clubs who are desperate to retain members. I've been a member for 30 years, you'll get my money, taking it without my express approval must be bordering on illegal.

if you win Dustys signed premiership jumper for opting to auto-debit memberships, you better hand it back so I can win it :)

All my other interactions with the club this year have been exemplary, but I'm going to have a little swipe after a few recent things have irked me.

1. Bought some stuff from the club store. Asked whether the total included the member discount and was told there was no discount on the premiership stuff. OK, but Dusty's book is stretching the definition about as far as it can go. If the 10% member discount has been scrapped, just say so.

2. Was informed the store had no plastic bags, and would I like a plastic Tigers bag for $3? Not really, I already have a couple from Coles, but since I have to lug this stuff with my laptop halfway across town to work... alright then.

Just a few little signs that the club is viewing its supporters as revenue streams. My message for the current custodians is, don't ever forget where this club came from.
Interesting post. I also recently had an interaction with the club that I wasn't sure I would post about here or not.
To preface this, I am a Maurice Rioli member with GF guarantee (7 years) and a Full AFL member with Club Support. I am a 27 Platinum member with RFC and about 19 years as an AFL member.
When I received my membership renewal, which is simply a roll-over every year, I noticed a $250 odd increase on last years cost.
I rang the club to query this and was told that to remain as a Maurice Rioli club member I had to hold an adult game day membership. I asked when this was communicated to members and the person I was talking to couldn't confirm (I neve rreceived any correspondance). The question remained, why would I purchase another game day membership when a) I already hold one with my AFL, b) I wasn't advised of this apparent change, c) a portion of my Club Support money goes directly to the club and d) when pushed, they were quite quick to say they would change the membership option to an Allanah & Madeline game membership @ $55.00 instead. I took this option.
I love this club and will forever be a member but I certainly didnt like the underhanded way they went about this.

disco this does not suprise me in the least as it is comparable to what happened to me some years ago
I too am a gold club support AFL member
I had richmond reserved seat memberships
They brought in the grand final guarantee ( which obviously you still have)
I too paid this for a few years
Then one year i was told there would be no more grand final guarantee and I could upgrade to MRC.
Even though i questioned it at the time as felt it was quite unfair that those of us who had been paying for the guarantee were now going to be forced into a more expensive package. However i went along with it as I always do with this club and got 5 inaugural MRC packages which cost a lot more than the GF guarantee.
Then imagine my surprise when we finally made a GF in 2017 I read on these boards that quite a few people still had the guarantee!! despite me being told it was no longer going to exist
And on top of this I also learnt in 2017 that premiership circle seated people also got the GF guarantee and I had those reserved seats at the time but was told they were not guaranteed at the time
And then to top all of this off this year i was excluded from using my 38 year AFL club support membership to get a seat in the members due to my having a RFC membership in my own name despite that having a completely different bar code to my AFL membership!!!
So i can fully believe what has happened to you
I do anything for this club but over the years I have often felt they treat the average member quite poorly at times

Hey everyone, I hope everyone is alright with the thread bump.

I’m a collector of Richmond player issue and match worn jumpers, I was wondering whether any of you out there had any jumpers that you’d be looking to sell? :)

I have a Dean Polo signed grey top taxi cabs preseason and Travis Casserley jersies I'd consider parting with. They must be worth a fortune! :)

I could probably part with my worn out Blair Campbell jock strap. I won it in a raffle at a "Pleasant Sunday Morning" held after he left for the Dees. :)

Not really RFC merchandise, but merchandise nevertheless.

As a consequence of my acting on some poor investment advice I have accumulated over the last couple of weeks about 1200 rolls of dunny paper (Quilton 4-ply Gold Softness). Just about filled the garage, can't park the car and the bottom now seems to have dropped out of the black market for dunny paper rolls. Will sell to best offer.

No, not RFC merchandise but if you had used the toilet paper as intended you might be able to sell it as Hawthorn merchandise.

Anyone here from the Tigerland Superstore? I have an issue with an order from mid-May that I can’t solve on my own which nobody seems to want to know about.

I tried to reconnect with RFC to see if they still visited and if they had any interest in engaging with member... silence for now. I will keep trying though.

Have you gone on the Superstore website and click the chat button... they’ve always been helpful.

Apologies, had meant to post an update to the effect that Australia Post had finally come to the party and cleared up the issue in five minutes (reimbursement offered). Originally they had put the onus on me to put the onus on the club to chase up a parcel they had sent in good faith and AP had lost, and had marked the case ‘Resolved’! Had tried email and the ‘Contact us’ link on the store website without a response. Chat might’ve been the best option if I’d seen it.

Footnote: Parcel arrived out of the blue on July 3. Offered to refund the refund to AP, but they said not to worry about it. Six weeks' wait for $60 worth of free Richmond goodies was a good deal in the end. :D

Received an email about 2019 premiership Monopoly at 5:11pm Monday. By late evening they were all gone @ $90 a pop.
