You forgot to add “at your own *smile* expense and not as a guest of the Australian and/or Victorian taxpayer”.
*smile* that. We’re trying to control this insidious virus and paid for 2 week quarantine is fair and reasonable. But the petals refuse to be tested? What a selfish load of *smile*. Unacceptable behaviour.
I wonder what the number breakdown for the tests and refusals are.
Is it that the 30% is mostly children under 10?
I have a 3yo we took to the docs and smile me there was no chance he was opening his mouth for it.
I cant imagine trying to take a covidtest.

It's a fair question.
Maybe some of it is cultural, maybe some don't like the discomfort after being tested previously. I suspect there would be people getting well into their 14 days who might suspect they've caught a mild dose but want to get home.
Well the refusal rate in NSW is only 2% so I can’t see how or why there would be such a massive difference. The CMO has also stated that the refusal rate in Victoria is comparatively very high.
It appears the Victorian coronavirus response is in danger of running off the rails. Want to go to the footy or have a party at home? No chance.
Fly in from overseas but refuse a CV test? No problem we wouldn’t want to infringe on your human rights!! Off you go into the community to potentially infect it with a deadly virus. Too da loo!! Do your best.

No, you go into quarantine. Scomo has said testing is compulsory now, as it should be.
Understand that. 14 day quarantine has been mandatory all along but I’m staggered that testing has not been. Even though it’s now been mandated it is being reported that the Victorian government is concerned about human rights issues and needs more time to consider whether to toughen it’s stance
Seriously? What about the human rights of the 6.5 million people that live in Victoria? What about their right to be protected from someone who flies in from overseas but refuses a test whilst in quarantine?
Andrews needs to get serious about this. *smile* hell he wouldn’t let people play golf or go fishing for a couple of months; none of which I had a problem with. But now he’s getting weak kneed about mandatory testing in quarantine?? Bizarre.

The good news is that Ms van Diemen personally tested Cook’s statue and reports that it returned a guilty result.
The ***** will have no qualms going to hospital on the public purse if they do get COVID

The below shows the chart of the cases load overlaid with the deaths in the US. Interesting that the spike in caseload began on 16th June. George Floyd was killed on 24th May, so around 3 weeks after, when the protesting / looting was going gangbusters for 2 weeks after. It will be interesting to see if the yellow line starts to spike. Its been 11 days since the caseload started to jump.
If it doesn't it will be interesting to see the level of testing against this chart, or alternatively overlaying the age demographic of those testing positive. If the latest age demographic is lower (as you would expect if it was spreading through the rioting / protesting as the age demographics of the protests would be lower in age) then this would again show that the age impacts of Covid-19 are absolutely there.

The data is coming in and it shows the protests at four key protest cities had no effect on COVID19 infection rates.

It seems to be one of lifes coincidences at the moment.
Vic government announced 41 new cases.
“8 are related to known clusters, 1 is a returned traveller, 13 are from routine testing and 19 are being investigated”
Which is practically useless. It’s baffling people with *smile*.
Stick to a thorough, consistent, useful reporting methodology or you’re going to lose the public completely.
