Sydney Stack

Might have got a tad ahead of himself. Hope he reads as much of the bad press about himself as he did the good stuff

Maybe needs to stop focusing on his Insta profile and work on his skills which have been well below acceptable the last 3 weeks. He can enjoy himself playing a scratch match with his buddies Marlion and Daniel next week.

Yep needs to get the message.

I love Stacky, but he has been very ordinary, time to give someone else a go.
If he gets a game next week, he's got photos of Dimma when he was staying there.

Must go. He was a liability last week and continued that form today. Let him regain his confidence and form in scratch matches. Way too costly watching him bumbling and fumbling and giving the opposition goals.

He is stinking it up this year.
He isn't half the player he was last year.
He has now played properly 6 poor senior games in a row.
People forget that he was dropped late last year.

Forwards got to earn their goals. Syd has been gifting them this year. So disappointing but cannot gift him games on 2020 form.

There is definitely no doubt as to his ability.......therefore there can only be two other things that are causing him to be stuck in this slump

1/ Attitude.
He came onto the scene with a bang and has since been a high profile player that gets plenty of plaudits from just about anywhere. He then developed a relationship with our best AFLW player that drew plenty of attention. So, basically, life was all prett6 good for an inexperienced 20 year old.....very easy to sit back and enjoy the spoils of new found fame at a big club. In other words, I think he fell into the trap that his ability will take care of things, and it would all just “happen”...that leads to ...

2/ Fittness.
Due to the Attitude, he has come back from the extended break underdone.....he is getting it back , but he is nowhere near the fittness level expected both physically and mentally.

Ive no doubt he can get back to the player we know he can be, but he needs both a good kick up the backside by being put back to the scratchmatch team for a few weeks, and ,a mentor to direct his mental state and focus, hence improve his confidence.

Time for Stack to stop drinking his own bath water and start really knuckling down

Has anyone you know actually drank their own bath water?
I haven't.
I hate that saying.
If he was a car he would need a major service, he is so out of tune its not funny.

Agree he needs to get fully fit. No AFL until he achieves that. Then a decision has to be made as to his best role to help the team - forward, back or midfield. Settle him into one position & see what happens. Personally I think his best role is back but only when he’s fit & razor sharp competitive.
