Great summary as always ezy. Loved the bit about Grimey. Also like how you refuse to admit you have Collingwood mates; only acquaintances :mhihi

Super win, very impressive. When they play like this watch out. And let's not forget we had 7 top players out, incredible depth.

We all know the regulars how good they play which includes Shai but I must say I was impressed by Balta, Pickett, Ross, and Markov

Markov played like he belongs and used the ball well. Balta dead set gun has vice-like hands and plays it hard and tight.
Ross good game and thought Pickett played really well too, went in hard, provided good run and took some very good overhead marks.

Special mention to baker plays like a beast, hard as competes for everything and throws himself at every contest.

Now on Stack which I was hoping he would come in and glad he got his chance but he literally looked lethargic, yes he had 7 tackles and a few smoothers but i wasn't overly happy with his lack of run, lack of urgency in his game, just kept getting caught. Now I will say is it possible that he played this game in his head before the first bounce because he looked flat as a tack. I saw one piece of play on the wing it was stack and was hoping he would get the ball looked like he was going through the motions to get it then comes along Bolton like 'out of the way son' and just picked up the ball and off he went. Bolton has turned into a gun player.
I can only see one change with Vlastuin to come In and Stack out.

well that was one good night at the footy.

Marlion running our wing was a real treat. he has the best footwork ive seen since m.rioli.

as predicted, their mids shat themselves. they're never been in the same bit of grass with a bloke like Marlion. He scares and hypnotises.

I reckon he'd be a good boxer too.

and dusty stuck her into the September gear, cause he knew he needed to tonight.

dusty has gears. it's incredible. it really is

Who was the most influential tall on the ground? I cant split Notorius Noah Balta from Mabior Chol. How many games between them?

a collingwood acquaintance texted me and said

'richmond are like a medusa. you cut off Rances head, and Balta grows. you cut off prestias head and shai Bolton grows'

I liked that. Medusa.

Mabior chols agility is astonishing. He bounces through traffic with a big smile on his face. he is unique as $hai Bolton.

my mate missed him in his medusa analogy.

guess who manages him? Ralph Carr;s Travelling Freak Show Pty ltd.

Cotchy was inspirational. we missed him. and I couldn't fit him in the votes.

Dylan Grimes is a very, very brutal man. he spoiled in front of me and Dylan looked like his intent was to punch the ear off his head. I think he is related to Jimmy Jess.

Liam Baker is a pretty brutal man also.

Kmac is brutal too. worked through a bad cork half the night.

negatives? minor in a famous win like that. Stackman is close. he worked hard, but he's going to ground all the time. Tom Lynch is getting caught behind and was out pointed 1:1 by Caleb Daniel. If he was in form, and the way the ball came in and how he was isolated, Tom would've kicked 7 tonight
Really enjoyed this post and so agreed with your comments on Marlion, Chol, Baker and the rest., focusing on the newbies/youngsters. We know what we get week after week from the likes of Cotch and Grimsey. Love the Medusa analogy too.

But glad you levelled that bit of constructive criticism at Tom though. Better tonight but I'm still surprised at the marks he doesn't take. A touch of cymbal-hands (or still sore?) Why isn't he getting in front more? How can he be spoilt by Daniels? He can still get 50% better IMO.
Was happy with Oleg's game too - for a guy that some have delisted already.

My other big negative of the game - when Mabior falconed that huge mark in the goal square. If only he had taken that!! Would have capped the night for me.

my acquaintance also said,

'the only certainty in footy this year, is that Tom Lynch will kick 6 in the GF'

he was seeing what I was seeing; he is perilously close to hitting real form, with what? a dozen games to go?

What an amazing night.

Feel privileged to have seen Dusty at his absolute best tonight. That goal was beyond special and it was amazing to hear the crowd's cheer. Not your typical roar but rather a "you're kidding" tone to it.

Loved Marlion's game. Back to his best.

Also thought Ross was back to some form and showed once and for all that he's a mid.

Balta down back and Chol forward/ruck. What freakish big blokes they are.

My winning streak since 2016 while watching live continues. I will be important against the Lions next week.

Worst on ground goes to the *smile* who decided to do roadworks and reduce the Pacific Motorway down to one lane after the game. Added 45 mins on to the drive back to Brisbane. Bloody stupid burocrats!

Someone tell me that that the win isn't a welcomed distraction to the reality we face in Melbourne. :p

Such a positive night with so many pleasing performances. They have touched us up with our full side during the last few years so to produce that was sensational.

Bet someone in the media will use the medusa analogy this week. I quite like it. Glad Bakes is getting a few mentions, because I thought he was good all night.

Dimma let slip something very interesting in his presser.

'We came up here for 5 weeks and now its the rest of the season'

Either using season loosely

Or, we wont go west, Wet Toast will have had their allocation of home games (weve had 3?) By the end of this block and will come east

For a Gabba GF?

#anastasiapaluscgequeczar deserves the GF
