Welcome to Tiger land Riley Collier’Dawkins

He's got Ross, Dow, Martyn, Stack as midfield competition

IMO you can take Stack out of it, I give him little chance of being on our list next year even though he is signed till 2021, (wouldn't be at all surprised if RFC had some sort of escape clause in his contract).

I think the wrapping our arms around him comment after latest breach was a bit of lip service, (Syd has already had so much wrapping he could be a Mummy).

You just have to listen to his manager's language and you can tell that he thinks Syd has all but blown it.

Would be ecstatic if he could turn things around but issues are a little bit deeper than just footy.

RCD should have been given a chance during the season when we kept giving Stack multiple goes and even Dow. Wouldn't be surprised if he wants out which is a bit of a shame without see what he could do!

Yeah after stack kept on being gifted games and Dow usurped him he's probably pretty down at the moment, and looks that way.

Hope he hangs around to be our future midfield - Bolton, Dow, Martyn, Ross, Fridge, RCD - good diversity of prospects if they all hang around.

We do need to find a way to get him at least a few games. Difficult with our depth but if we don't he will seek greener pastures even though staying at a successful team has huge advantages.

DS

Straight swap for Liam Stocker??
Imagine how he’s feeling? Can’t get a game in a *smile* team.
People over reacting. Plenty of examples of players not getting a game within their first 2 years. And many of them in weak teams. At least RCD has an excuse. He’s at the best club for his personal and football development. Stick fat, work hard and all will be rewarded.

Just rewatched the song, he didn't clap when the team walked in, did n't reat to Markov, and made no effort to join in after the song, Markov, was hugging, and and shaking hands.
Dimma did go over, and gave Oleg a pat on the back, but didnt go to RCD, maybe he has checked out.
The emergencies for the final will tell a story as well.
Credit to Oleg, he's always smiling and hugging his team mates even after he gets overlooked.

Had a shoulder issue during that heavily condensed period of games, was well in line for a debut up until that point.

Some of the body language experts here are hilarious. RCD is a very laid back, laconic, individual off field.

That being said, Essendon are 100% sniffing.

Is that him on the right when the boys are singing the song? If so he looks emotionally checked out.
Yes I noticed this also.
Thought he looked disconnected from it all.
But it's easy to make assumptions from a small sample snippet.

That footage is really odd. Dusty looked to put out a hand at the end but RCD was very closed and ignored it. Even the coach recognising Markov as present but not extending to RCD an arm length away is weird. Hopefully I'm reading too much into it but body language is very strange considering these guys have been living in each other's pockets for 6 months.

Pretty sure he’s another that had a pretty serious injury early on in his career.
Michael Tuck played 50 reserves games and 5 senior games in his first three years. Shane Tuck didn't debut until he was 22. Nathan Buckley was playing SANFL at RCD's age, albeit winning a Magery Medal. Ablett Sr debuted at 20 and had played 6 games by the age of 22, although that was temperament-related. Tony Modra was 23 when he debuted, again probably temperament. Kane Lambert was 23 before he even got drafted. There are stacks upon stacks of players who have had great careers despite not debuting before they were 21.

In a normal year, RCD would probably have got a game. But no VFL means he hasn't played a proper game since the VFL grand final, which he was pretty good in.

He's a late developer. Let's have a look at him in March.
