Trent Cotchin (Merged)

Reckon he could go on but so many years as a captain and many for a team that wasn't performing, add to this he is 31 next year, and maybe he will decide it is time for a break.

Would love to see Cotch continue, we are a better team when he is playing, but would understand if he doesn't.

One more thing: he is on 247 games, 250 in a Grand Final would be nice.

Trent can retire after he hits 300 and has a couple more medals around his neck.

Wow , hadn’t given it much thought ,

Would be missed , I think if he did finish, Graham becomes more important to keep

This week or next week he breaks the record for the longest serving RFC Captain. 2 maybe 3 times Premiership Captain, Brownlow. Hammy's starting to play up.

You could understand if he decides to hang up the boots if we have a successful season.

Might even be a deciding factor in Graham staying

I thought i read somewhere late last year that his wife's dad (x player) said he had 2 more years, i assumed at the end of 21. Perhaps hand the captaincy down after this year & play on one more, 2 at a stretch. He has used his body as a battering ram most of his career & in particular the last few where his possessions might have dropped, but his impact to the team hasn't.

I think another flag cotch jack shedda will pull pin maybe caddy too, absolutely top of their game

May retire, but you would think he would want to see out his contract and help his mate Dusty during the transition of leadership.

Wouldn’t be surprised. Has struggled with his body the last couple of seasons and that was on top of COVID breaches of his wife.

Hope it is not the case, I think he can still offer a lot for another two seasons.

Not Sheds. He will follow in Burgoyne's footsteps and play until his late 30s

Could do.

Might see Bash out
Listening to Bash on Jack's radio show there is no way he is bowing out. He's been revitalised by the break. Reckon he gets another years contract at least.
