Changes for Semi

So I like to hypothesise things that will never happen.

Here's my idea. Drop Castagna.

Wait, no, I forgot about the photos, we can't do that.

Okay, here's my idea. Play Castagna on Butler.

Fiercely competitive on one another. Castagna has the athleticism to stop him. Does he have the attention/composure? Probably not. Do we lose anything by not having Castagna forward? Absolutely not.

Who won the table tennis tournament?

Dimma has backed our experienced players to do the job. Houli, Edwards, Prestia, Nank and Astbury.
I reckon we’ve brought too many players in who are under done.
Nank and Astbury are a must. But I think the tough call had to be made on the other 3 and be left out.
the youngest players got us this far. I would have left them in.
Don’t worry, I’ve already emailed Dimma about this and the team we need for the weekend.

Forwards win you games.
Caddy lynch Ross and Markov In.
Pickett chol Lambert Aarts all out

Yep. Clearly explains why we finished top four again. Good work 7.

Thank you. I can't take all the credit, it is a team effort.
But in saying that i doubt we would have won both premierships if it wasn't for me.

Really torn between 1 change or a few more. Looked up Lambert's stats for last week and he still had 19 disposals (5 kicks, 14 handballs) but overall this year his total disposals are down, so are his goals, only 7 for the year! Hip injury and shorter games contribute to these figures. Wonder what distances he's running each game? Last time we played the saints he had a bad day, only 11 disposals (2,9).
Would a fit Ross be better this week?

In spite of his issue and other players out of form, we may have won if...
1. Jack had held the chest mark and 4 high marks he got his hands to, and
2. We hadn't given away those frees and 50m penalties.
Good signs that a lot of changes may not be necessary esp. with with Lynch to replace Chol.

There was footage of the last time we played Saints. Can’t remember which show it was but they showed zcaddy playing on Hill. Hill ran from backline to forward line while Caddy was just jogging along behind him. We need pace and endurance to play on the wing. If Caddy is to play he needs to be a lot more accountable for his direct opponent.

Yep.

Certainly wouldn't want him anywhere near the ball in the backline.

But if neither he or Butler are anywhere near the ball, that's a win.

And that is why both Pickett and Macintosh will stay put. They will play a key role in negating the likes of Hill and Hannebury on the outside.

I want caddy in but I agree with this. I think he replaces one of the smalls in the forward line

Agree, that part of the system works, even though Brisbane did better switching the play than most sides do.

We were 'off' last Friday. Defensively not switched on. The goal to Rich was the first alarm that went off. Not allowing teams to switch and forcing them down the line or force a dangerous kick is our strength. This didnt happen last week.

I expect the focus to be right back against the Saints.
