Adam Saad

5 years at 800k for a midget. We got Lynch for about the same
The reports are $650k per over 5 years. And they will also pay $850k per year over 5 years for Williams.

Staggering money for those two. Will leave them struggling to pony up when others come seeking a pay day. They can have them for that money.

Jon Ralph says it turns them into instant contenders :rotfl2 :rotfl2 That’s all we need to know.

Maybe players upset Woosha got the flick ala the Mickey Mouse /Figgie saga.

The Wobblers started losing some players when Figgie took over, Heath Shaw, Beams, Seedsman, and Wellingham.

The joint has been on the nose since the drugs scandal.

The Dons/Drugs haven't cleaned their Karma by not just owning up to it owning it and asking for forgiveness.

The joint still festers and it imported selfish mercenaries like Stringer, Shiel, Smith etc.

Their recruitment is shitezenhausen all skinny matchstick kids , Gleeson, McGrath, Guelfi, Parish etc

Theres a culture there but its obviously not a good one.

Tipungwuti, I wouldn't be surprised to see him want out too, Saad looks like hes bolted, McKenna already has whilst McKernan and Bellchambers retired and Daniher and Orazio cant wait to get out of the joint.

What's the bet Dodo won't cut a deal and Saad will be stuck there for another year adding to the general sense of misery and doom and gloom.

And there’s the money they’re paying Jack Martin.

Essendon's list manager Adrian Dodoro said.

"Although we wish Adam all the best, he is not a free agent and therefore a suitable trade will need to be forthcoming from Carlton. Clearly, there is an expectation of compelling compensation for a player of Adam’s calibre.

good luck making the deal Carltoon!

He’s out of contract so if he really wants out he’s gone one way or another. If they can’t do a deal he’ll try to get to Carlton via PSD as Jack Martin did. Or he may end up at North in PSD.

Dordoro/Carlton bad as each other to deal with - watch this run until the very last minute.
Either way Saad is out of the stinking shithole they call Essendon.

Players end up where they want to go.
One phone call 'hey North I'm NOT interested, so don't pick me"
Thats all.
Pick 7 is way too much.
Pick 7 to Essendon
2nd rounder And Sad to Carlton.
Thats fair.

Pick 7, is in the barrack around where the hard nut Vic Country midfielder will go.
That's pretty good for Essendon

Good luck Carlton.
Essendon will demand an early first round. Wow.

That's fair enough. But Carlton has to get something in return.
He isn't worth pick 7 on his own.
A swap of 2nd and 3rd picks would have to come into it too.
Essendon aren't in such a bad place.
Hooker, Hurley, Danihiar and Fantansia weren't going to be around for the next finals campaign.
*smile* them off now and unleash on picks.
If they get 2 picks for Danihiar regardless if its this year or next year, they should be singing.
Pick 7 for Sad, Gold.
Pick 16 or pick 18 for Fantansia, triple gold.
Give and take they might get something for Hurley and Hooker, this could be a blessing in disguise.
They should chase Hogan and start fresh next year.

Pick 7 doesn't go to Essendon for Saad. No way. Carlton could split it for 2 late firsts and one of those would cover Saad IMO.

Saad seems to be massively over rated all of a sudden. No love of Essendon but his reasons for leaving them (as per the Fox Footy article) were pretty ordinary.

Rohan Connolly is ropable about it, he reckons the culture is really poor. And of course the Dons fanboys are having a go at him about what he's said.
