I’m not sure what Castagna brings to the team anymore. I’m going to watch his second half closely, because he’s running out of credits for mine. I’d swap for Markov next week if he doesn’t lift.
In the blink of an eye! Sheds gifted him one which he kicked to his credit. But another fairly forgettable game.

Pickett or Lambert out for caddy before george. Pickett 9 touches and couldnt hit a target all nite. He will cost us against port.
Did picket play on hill? if so, win.
Disgraceful commentators failed to recognise Chimp's record breaking captaincy games played. Pretty sure nothing was said about Dimma's games coached record at the club as well
yeah it was weird, they showed the vision of gale talking to the boys in the sheds and it showed everyone getting around cotch and giving him a head rub, but none of them put 2&2 together and mentioned his history making record.

Because they’re a pack of muppets.

Nankervis, astounding game Sir, knew you'd come good tonight, can't believe his name hasn't been mentioned much throughout this thread ? Second only in importance tonight to Titch, my word he is class, even in those terribly slippery conditions and Bolton, BIG goals at important times of the game make all the difference.

Wasn't pretty, but we stay alive and move on, Port don't scare me anymore than anyone else left, we still ooze class when at our best and don't for a second think the other clubs wish they were playing ANYONE but the Tiges, bring on next week.
We need to still clean up some areas.
Tonight we got heavily scored on turnover but scored heavily through stoppages. Not our DNA but it’s something that Port will gave to look at. We certainly looked different tonight.

Conditions will be different than they were tonight in Qld.

Our midfield looks different than it looked last time we faced Port. You add Cotchin, Prestia, Edwards & Nank totally more aggressive and will not be easily brushed aside.

X factor now is Shai forward.

Balta looked much better when he got a turn in the ruck. Astbury, Lynch, Dusty should under any circumstances ruck.
Dimma , did he hint something with Chol? Could he be considered against Port as we still have to worry about Ports talls /forwards as they will ours.

Our wingers played well compared to the Saints. Much better than last week and will need to up that again next Friday.
Prestia, Houli, Nank & Edwards got another game under their belts and each played their role.

The magician Scissorhands was so good tonight and capped off a great game with 2 goals.
Nank superb. Helped out taking intercept marks down back and did a lot of follow up work which led to our unusually high stoppage/clearance goals.

Hostile territory.
Not much support.
Massive underdogs.

Undecided on changes. Think we need some more run. Do we stretch them with another tall ?
Do we bring another midfield option in?

We have to play better but huge pressure will be on Port. They are gettable.

It’s going to be a brutal PF.

Did something tonight that I wouldn’t normally do which was have a look on Twitter after the game.
Lynch is gone for 4 games, Cotchin is a disgusting human and should get 2 weeks, channel 7 love us as do the umpires and we are the AFL’s favourite.
Some or the comments are disgusting actually.
I’ve learned, won’t go back again so soon after a game.
I don’t go on twitter or FB.
Stay away.

That's more likely a reflection of our media depterment as it is of the networks.

No doubt when Pendlebury did it recently the media were given media packs, stories, videos etc to make it easy for them to use on air.

The media are pretty dumb, if it's not obvious or given to them, they don't know what to say.

Ah come on. "It's a terrible look for the game"... that's just sh!t.

She started on the Lynch mongrel trope and that makes her the enemy. Sue me.

It is all well and good to disagree with her but you make out that the reason that she made a comment you disagree with is because she is a woman. Her comment has nothing to do with her gender.

I see plenty of male commentators make stupid comments - is it because they are men? Should we ban male commentators because they make 90% of the stupid comments?

I hope you're not wondering why women find sexism a pain in the rear end, if you do, consult a mirror.

The 80/20 rule Dimma was talking about post game presser

The Lynch focus has got on my nerves this year and it got the better of me when she started up and they kept replaying something I couldn't see and calling it a disgrace. I apologised for the insult used but if you don't accept the apology, sit in a corner and stew on it.

Good to win and great to be in a 4th PF in a row. But geez we do it hard. That was not a convincing win by any stretch. So much fumbling and slipping over. I get the conditions but it seemed to affect us more than the Saints.

It was a strange game. Our pressure ratings were well off. We were below average or poor for the first 3 quarters. The only saving grace was that Saints were worse. We ramped it up to elite rating in last quarter and left them behind. We also did well in clearances and scored a lot of goals from that. We normally score goals from turnover but hardly did that tonight.

The pressure will be ramped right up next week. We will need to lift by levels; we play like we did tonight and we will get destroyed. If we play our best we will win; we can beat them even though it is a tough task in Adelaide. I'm just not sure we are going well enough to play at our best. No matter what the stats said there is no way we were playing as well this year as we did at the end of 2019. Not even that close really.

But is a different year so let's see what happens next week. Very proud that they are in another PF so let's "raise the fight" :))

We’ve reduced Stack & CCJ suspensions to 5 games for 2021. If we win next week, it’s 4 obviously but which would be a great result for both players.

The fact that the media muppets had to actually ask Dimma what Gale said was ridiculous. They are paid very well to know this sort of information, but no they would prefer to trawl around for *smile* trade stories, or trying to drag players names through the mud.
