Trade talk 2019/20

Agree. But there's some 4 way deals going on apparently w Saints, Bombers and GWS all involved!

Reckon only 2 of Geelong's 1st rounders will be used for Cameron.

I'm not sure what to think. Could it be argued that Geelong have improved their list with 3 good to v good players; so have Brisbane (Daniher?), and Port (Allir Allir). Whereas our depth has been dented a little maybe?
Same bobby.

Other sides ( no matter you may think ) have improved their lists and will challenge us !

We haven’t. We have lost some depth.

The club though ( with the reserves returning next year ) would be banking on players on the fridge, who have tasted some footy the past few years, newbies etc will challenge and push the senior blokes ( healthy competition) .

Let’s see I guess.

You can’t stay still in this game. Contenders improve and we will be hunted fiercely in 2021/22.

Looks like Treloar is staying at the Maggots with his 900K.

F U Hawthorn for taking Phillips and getting them off the hook.

Dunkley still a Bulldog.

Hawthorn traded junk picks for him so how much is Collingwood subsidising his salary?

Ridiculous that Jeremy Cameron has to deal with this situation, though.

Reckon he's given the Giants more than enough.

If the Cats have offered all those first round picks, the Giants are morally bound to accept it.
Yes but from their POV he was their marquee player that they had invested heavily in; offered him a big deal ongoing. And they know that good players matter far more for them than a load of low picks who often depart early - go home factor etc. etc. They've been there and done that = no flag.

So Geelol ripping out their no.1 KPF but absolutely refused to allow trade of any of their own decent players out in return.

Plus picks in this draft are misleading. It's a chook lottery.

Looks like Dunkley and Hind were the only deals not done (guess which club is the common denominator)!

Openly were not interested in picks.
Players.

Treloar to bulldogs apparently - no news on the deal yet!
Yep last minute deal Adam is off to the Doggies.

Maggots will be still paying for Treloar and Phillips to be out not sure about about Stephenson.

So they still have to pay some of the wages for three first 22 players.

All 3 are runners and goal kickers for them, they are going to pay on field for it with a bit of luck.

We know they are paying for it off the field :mhihi :mhihi

Troll staying at the Pies isn't going to be great for team harmony.
Come on. Bucks is dropping around for cuddles with him right now - after all, he's the caring/sharing coach; side-by-side; all is forgiven now. They all love each other, you know.

Except Jaidyn and Tom. And money has NOTHING to do with it. :D

Phillips was swapped for a pick in the 60’s. Hawks will be paying all his $$$ unless they have renegotiated his contract

Dogs gave up a future second round for Troll, then swapped pick 14 for a stack of late picks to use on their academy kid. No mention of the salary sharing ratio at this stage.

I am a believer in Karma

Being belligerent in trading will bite you, look at Geelong & Cameron deal for a FREE AGENT !, look at the angst Effinscum are going through tonight

Being professional & fair in dealings has

Landed us Lynch for zilch
Got a decent return for Ty - yes I know he was a free agent but Hawks helped us
Dion for 7
Nank for 45
Cadds for 26 & 60
etc etc

Looks like Dunkley and Hind were the only deals not done (guess which club is the common denominator)!
and Hateley

And same club got done over on the Fantasia deal after wanting a first rounder and getting 29 and a late 3rd round for him.
