I think he has 'unofficially' retired from red ball cricket, as has Finch.
He's just given up because he knows that stupid little gnome will never pick him.

Moises Henriques and Sean Abbott in the Test squad. *smile* me dead.

Noted, I am probably right then. Finch might as well retire from non-red ball cricket too. When you retire from red ball cricket are you essentially acknowledging that you are no chance of being selected?
Finch is capt of the Aussie 3rds going to NZ so i doubt he will retire just yet.

some article said both Maxwell and Finch had come to an agreement with Cricket Victoria that because of their age, and their limited availability for red ball cricket it was best if they were just out of contention. i guess Maxwell has time to return if his availability ever increased. his last 1st class game was Oct 2019, and with the upcoming tour i doubt he would have played again this season.

Just for the record

Well the important thing is that innocent people were frogmarched from their seats in disgrace and all Australians were tarred by association.

Points win to the left.

I watched India's second innings from Adelaide again yesterday, one noticeable thing was Cummins and Hazlewood, both bowled fullish, at off stump, and got edges. Then it seemed that they went away from this tactic for the next 3 tests, and generally got shat on.

Interesting. Reading that, CA apologised to the Indian cricket team but no mention if they apologised to the innocent spectators they booted out
There was mention back when it happened that they received apologies and refunds. I think the delay in this report being released was solely down to trying to identify what happened on the previous day (Day 2). The investigators said they believe there was racist abuse on that day, but haven't disclosed their basis for that belief.

Interesting how it was reported in different places. The Age headline stated something along the lines of "Investigators confirm racist abuse" while the HS's was "Spectators cleared of racist abuse".

People get annoyed when "left" and "right" are brought up so often, but that is the line along which society is being divided.

Collapsed to 8-528

Doing better than last time we were in Chennai. Scored 477 runs and still lost by more than an innings!! Karun Nair I think had played a couple of tests and scored 300 not out. He scored a mammoth 374 runs in only 6 tests in his career. Probably retired as he was never going to do any better. I think he came in at number 6 or something ridiculous like that.
