As I love to remind Lamby constantly whenever he used to say Chris Scott was a better coach than Dimma, Dimma improved us in terms of ladder standing every year except 2016. His trajectory was always up.

Now he's built a truly great team, the win loss ratio is better than Scott's for the last four years. Oh and he won 3 flags to date.

Quality wins out in the end.

Quality and authenticity, Dimma has it in spades.

We've looked in trouble during each of our three flag years.

2017 - lost 5 of 6, "Richmondy" etc; only began to look like a serious contender with the GWS win in R17
2019 - erratic early, then mid-season slump when injuries peaked; first premiership winner to come from outside the top 8 after R14
2020 - very poor start, looked miles off the pace in Haw/St.K defeats; equal lowest ladder position for a premier (14th); gradual build, outlasted all comers

Ironically and as has been pointed out numerous times, our best and most consistent season ended in disappointment after finishing minor premiers.

This is why I'm happy to concede to those who have our "dynasty" behind Brisbane/Geelong/Hawthorn - we haven't been as dominant over the course of full seasons as those teams. It doesn't mean anything.
True

Another stat which I like is that we have lost 21 Home & away games in that time and 2 finals. If we take round 9 as the half way mark in 2020 we lost 13 of those games in the first half of the season and only 8 in the second half. Our 2nd half of the season H&A record in the last 4 years is 33-8 which is over 80% and in 3 of those 4 years we also lost the first game of 2nd half of the season.
Our H&A record since 2017 after round 12 is ridiculous, 4 losses in 4 years.
Message to all other teams is don't play Richmond late in a season.

Only team ever to go four years without losing to any opponent twice in a season.

Hardwick constantly mentions learning more from losses than wins. Suggests the game reviews are very productive.

Suggestion in today’s H-S that North are considering another attempt at gettingJosh Kelly as a free agent at the end of the season

The sooner this unwanted bastard child of a club folds completely and/or effs off to Tassie the better for everyone

With the Tassie Gov threatening not to renew sponsorship for the Hawks and #lolNorth, #lolNorth might have a better chance at a Kelly if they relocate to Glenrowan

Have any of the media pundits said #LOLNorf is the worst side since Richmond?

They revelled in comparing us to Fitzroy in its death throes, yet #LOLNorf gets concern and support to keep it in Melbourne rather than shipping it south where it really should go.

It’s a bit early to be making those comparisons yet but if they continue as they are I am sure the media will be feasting.
Tassie kangaroos is looking more and more likely you would think

Bad enough in recent years to actually lose a game against Mould Coast, but to get *smile* whipped by them is seriously feeble.

Big days footy at the local Arden st ground. Watching #lonorf kick the dew off the grass followed by watching #lolnorf wimmens in the main game at 2.00 pm.

I can't believe North supporters are blaming the retirements of Petrie, Harvey and DaSanto the reason why theyre so shiit today.
How about recruitment and development

Those three would probably still be in #lolnorfs best half dozen if they were playing now.

They’re an absolute shambles. Worst run club in the league. Look at their farcical ‘process’ to appoint a coach after Brad Scott. Great Scotty’s gone! Let’s get Horse! Oh, he doesn’t want to do it? That’s ok, Shawy got us a win, he’ll do. How hard can it be?

Yep another Wayne Carey isn't gonna fall in their lap again... oh wait Logan McD
Its like with the shiit we copped.
Tambling might've been a star if Adelaide drafted him.
Anthony Banik was the best junior in the game, till he came to us.
McDonald wouldnt get a kick at North.
