Quarantine stations to be used for international travel until vaccination is finished here and elsewhere. Then mothball until the next pandemic.
We can't stay closed forever and the vaccine f*** up by the Feds is a mess, but quarantine is a bloody good idea anyway.

We will never ever clear the virus from the human race , so vaccination and quarantine will be a permanent, repeat permanent arrangement. Repeat vaccinations will be needed like we need for influenza.

True. I'm thinking it's too late now , the time it takes to set up reasonable quarantine facilities will take longer than the (very slow) vaccine rollout. But maybe its a good investment for the future anyway.
It would be quite easy to re-purpose quarantine facilities into say public housing once the pandemic is over. Thats the idiocy of not building them. They would not go to waste and it would be a source of jobs.
The only reason we’d play Essendon in Perth instead of NSW is because the AFL is planning for a minimum 1-month lockdown in Victoria.
Why Perth? Must be where this year’s hub is planned.
The deal would’ve been discussed with the WA government (and other state governments) many times over the past 6 months.
Perth is scheduled for this year’s hub, and since they won’t risk needing to cancel the season because of flying thousands of staff around the country for finals just so players can be more comfortable at home, that means the Grand Final will be in Perth.

Hardly. We had more than 700 cases per day last year, and contact tracing was pencil and paper. This will be much easier to beat.

Absolutely a good idea. No doubt we'll see an influx of refugees the world over. Dutton should get on the front foot and build a 15,000 Quarantine facility, with the latest surveillance, security etc, out in Kiwirrkurra to house the refugees once the need for quarantine is over.
