Tried watching Woody Allen’s “To Rome with love” last night. Very ordinary, the more I watch Woodys movies the more I realise he has more misses than hits. Watched “A rainy day in New York “ a few weeks ago. Pretty terrible.
After watching Farrow v Allen don't know how you can watch any film Allen is involved in.

Be aware that Farrow v Allen only tells one side of the story.

Covid has bit the movie industry hard. Started watching two absolute stinkers tonight on Prime & Netflix not even worth mentioning. Literally zero decent new content out. I miss good movies.
Spot on Tooheys. I‘ve gone back to catch up on old flicks I’ve missed or never heard of.

Watched Runaway Jury (2003) and Twilight (1998) this week. Both good not great but have great casts.

I'm not defending anyone. I'm suggesting you look critically at the motivations behind that series and consider what was left out.

"It's a fool who looks for logic in the chambers of the human heart." - Ulysses Everett McGill.

For a pedo, Allen sure has been with a now-50-year-old for nearly 30 years.

It's just weird, that's all. A little creepy, if you want to run to that judgment on account of the age gap which he signposted as far back as Manhattan in 1979 (see above quote, I reckon).

Michael Jackson was a pedo but I'll never backball Off The Wall.

Anyway, tim, I told you not to bother with that A Rainy Day in NY garbage. And you're right, plenty of his fillums miss the mark or are overrated. Match Point was a piece of sh!t. Bullets Over Broadway, Annie Hall, Crimes and Misdemeanours, Midnight in Paris, Broadway Danny Rose, The Purple Rose Of Cairo, Hannah and Her Sisters are some of his better flicks.

I've never really got into his early screwball stuff. My Dad thought his early stand-up was hilarious.

Cmon spook, as soon as someone tells me not to watch something I’ll absolutely watch it!

So I took a leaf out of Scoop's book last night on old movies & re-watched David Fincher's Fight Club for the first time in a long time with my 17 year old son. Damn is that one brilliant movie. I probably enjoyed it more now than I did at the time it was released & I loved it back then.

I watched it a few weeks ago too. Only movie I've ever watched three times at the cinema.

Thought Woody Allen movies were always average after watching that doco, I’ve no interest in going back over them.

If anyone is looking for something go watch The Upside on Amazon with Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston and Nicole Kidman. It’s a beauty.

Why would watching a doco change how good or bad a film is that was made before the documentary?

Unhinged. Pretty ordinary. Dumb storyline. Russell Crowe plays his part pretty well but a dumb, pointless, seen it before type of movie otherwise.
