What's the likely recovery time?

My son bruised a kidney and wasn't able to have contact for maybe a couple of months but he was worse than Dusty (vomiting etc.) and pissing blood for days, and they're not going to risk a kid for school sport.

The throw call on Parker and then the non hold call on Dusty by Williamson ( horrendous umpire) really changed the game last night.

Hopefully the legend is ok not just from a footy point of view
That umpire was a dead set cheat.

Wrap the great man up in cotton wool all snug n warm until next season.
Hell, just wrap all the injured players up all snug n warm. Play the kids till seasons end n let them grow into the realities of senior footy without the comforting protection of our gun players.
Then next year when our best are back n the kids are hardened, sharp n hungry unleash a harsh dose of massive retribution upon the rest of the competition.

Those who are suggesting Dusty is past his best or that we play better when he is off the ground have got it wrong. Dusty has for a long time been our best prepared and most professional. The only plausible explanation for his failure to continue his domination through this season, is that he has been playing with an injury, which has resulted in a fall in his athletic power.

If he was kept in hospital for observation last night and has not been able tp fly this morning, the injury sustained last night should be regarded as a serious foot ball injury and likely to keep him out next week at least.

The Geelong game becomes our biggest test in home and away for a very long time.
* Not aware of the kidney injury when I posted.
This is the toughest break imaginable.
Hurculean effort required to get us into a prelim from here. Not beyond us.

Won’t fly home with the team.
Will miss against Geelong.
Let’s hope it’s only bruising and not lacerated

Don’t want to take any chances with a kidney injury. I’d b saying minimum of 3 matches, and wouldn’t care if we end his season early. Need him beyond 2021 at his best.

Remember Tom Lonergan from the Cats, had a kidney removed, not saying it will be that bad but it's potentially an extremely serious injury.

I recall he was advised to retire because obviously if he stuffed the other one up he would be in some deep poo.

Phil Davis had lacerated kidney but didn't show signs and symptoms until after the game, which he played out.

Fingers crossed for the great man.
