Hypocrisy at it's best.

This issue of the AFL and it's lack of money makes it appropriate (maybe?) for me to stress (or rant) again that the AFL must never go above 18 teams.

Yes - let's definitely have a Tassie team ASAP - but that has to involve a team from Melbourne (NM) relocating/merging/disappearing up it's own arse.
Having a national competition of 18 teams with 10 from one State (and 9 in one city) is rubbish.

Long term I still reckon the ideal number of teams is 16 - but admittedly that is probably medium to longer term prospect.

73 million Richmond
Second best 50 million.
Tigers rediculous decision to not go over soft cap.

Answer Tigers should compromise and go 1 million over soft cap and pay the 1 million in tax ,which would be a big advantage to us.

Dusty clear BOG

yes.

Bachar was a clear 2nd BOG.

All 3 of Dusty's NS have been lay down mezzaires,

and to be frank, anyone who makes public otherwise, is leaving their credibility vulnerable

2017 if Houli had nailed those two set shots for goal it would have been close, but he didn't.... clear second best on the day though.

I'm with TBR and Dimma. I thought Bachar was unlucky and the narrative got Dusty from slightly behind to slightly ahead.

Can’t support this Robin Hood socialist craziness while they’re running AFLW at a whopping loss.

Where was this concern when we had the arse out of our pants for 30 years?

I’ll never barrack for a club to go under but after what they’ve done to us, que sera sera.

Our revenue was the highest of the clubs but I'm pretty sure we made less than 300k profit. Paying more and then the soft cap tax over the top would have us making a loss. Something you want to avoid at the moment.

the Adelaide coach are with me, while your team includes Mark Maclure, Jake Niall and Daisy Pearce.

...... and 100,018 other people who were at The G that day
Even if i was blindfolded and earplugged, i'd have chosen to stand on the opposite side of history to Don Pyke

The thing about the 2017 Norm Smith is that I reckon Martin was probably very slightly better over the whole game, but Houli I think would have been ahead to half time and it was the first half which is when the game was in the balance.

Difficult one to pick and either a worthy winner. Rance? No, starved of the ball for most of the game, it was up the other end.

I have no problem with the AFL subsidising the women's competition and evening out the men's. But the issues I have is that they don't allow well run teams to gain benefit from being well run, the decisions have no transparency and we all know the AFL do whatever they want, too many subsidies to the new clubs while Tassie has no club, we were left to go under and had to rattle tins to survive. If we could have confidence in the way the AFL is run this wouldn't be an issue, but we can't.

The competition was in a very different place financially in those days.

AFLW is an investment in the future of the game. Every grass roots competition now has team after team of females, where a decade ago there were none. Every sport in the country would kill for the participation boost footy has had from AFLW.
So put it into hiatus while things are tough. Don't handicap your better performers.

Where would Formula One be if everyone drove the same car? Most non-Victorians see the Victorian clubs as more or less the same as it is.

I barrack for RICHMOND, I put my money into RICHMOND. Not into Fremantle so they can *smile* well poach Bolton!

Yep, it's profit that counts, not just revenue.

As we are a non profit based tax set up.bussines we must use the bulk of our gross revenue with profits showing mainly for lending purposes for future and current loans.

Now we are kms ahead of everyone,we can easily pay over the softcap and will next year, take it to the bank.
