Steve Hocking

Rumour on another thread that SHocking has a parasitic phallus in his brain. If true it's deep throat gone horribly right.

It’s not a rumour. I have secret, confidential documentation that sHocking had a medical procedure to save his mental capacity.
They had to select one of the twin phalluses in his brain and remove it to enable the amoebic mono neutron (note:singular) brain cell to survive.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t discern the difference between twin phalluses and his brain cell.
They refused to operate.

True story….no doubt Caro will confirm it shortly.

I guess the bright side of us failing to make a 3 peat, is that we avoided the introduction of the 'sitting cross legged" on the mark rule that they no doubt would have introduced!

Anyone hoping for the stand rule to be withdrawn, the AFL has doubled down and introduced it for the AFLW.

The madness continues.

Knowing the AFL they'll probably change their mind about 2 weeks before the season commences and repeal it.

I dunno, they don't like reversing their brain farts magnificent ideas.

I think it will take a while to get this removed, maybe we should all email the AFL and put some pressure on.

I received a survey yesterday from the AFL seeking feedback on their website. One section asked you to write in three things that could improve their homepage. I wrote something along the lines of "Repeal everything that idiot Hocking brought in to ruin the game, penalise throws, pay holding the man, and cease this vendetta against Richmond." :D

Neil Mitchell on 3AW interviewed Gilligan this morning and the clown said the Stand rule is here to stay.
Be patient, it will go once the clubs give the feedback on how bad the games become

Of course it'll stay look at the massive increase in scoring it's generated
Heard today that it’s going to be retained in the AFLW this year.

Cornes actually said similar to yourself TT and was hoping it would have been removed in the women’s football this season.

Serious question here - I don't know the answer.
Hocking cops alot of flak here - perhaps rightly so. But does (did) he have carte blanche to do what he likes? Surely not. Probably he can bring up suggestions and have his say, but I would think to bring in a rule change would require some sort of consensus. Does anyone know what the protocol is for implementing changes?

Would it go to rules Commission?
Commissioners ?

But bet you Gil would have pressed hard as would the networks. $$$$

Yet when Hocking was asked why it wasn’t brought into the AFLW he answered that it wasn’t necessary because AFLW players didn’t crowd the mark the way AFL players did.

Two bodies.

Hocking's Game Analysis Committee (Hocking, Josh Vanderloo, Damian Farrow, Sam Robertson, Karl Jackson, Marcus Wagner, David Rath, Binuk Kodituwakku, David Noble as of April this year)

Competition Committee (changeable group of about 20 - has included Hocking, Malcolm Blight, Colin Carter, Andrew Ireland, Jason Ball, Simon Garlick, Dangerfield, Nicole Livingstone, Laura Kane... Peggy O'Neal etc etc)

Blight got all the headlines when the latter group was formed to come up with ideas for rule changes, but it's a toothless tiger. It was informed by Hocking on the morning of the AFL announcement that the AFL had already approved rule changes they had not properly considered, including the stand rule.

Blight made a big noise about the wacko ideas he had and told people in the industry to resign if they didn't like it. He still has an active thread dedicated to him on this forum. But in the end he was just a patsy.

The Game Analysis Committee had all the power and is responsible for inflicting the shithousery. Their rule changes obviously had to be approved by the AFL Commission, but they did so without trial... and without due consideration by the body ostensibly formed to oversee them.

Yes, Hocking is as guilty as sin.

When they do the AFL fans survey there may be a question about the stand rule.
