No point brodders, odds too short
Clearly betting on whether they will commit the act is no fun, that is why you have to bet on what the act will be? will Selwood fend off high with his elbow, or will he cheap shot someone whose head is over the ball?
will Hawkins head someone in the head from behind a minute after they mark the ball or will he swing a roundhouse at his defender if he cant get a kick?

so many options, but which ones will happen this week?

Not sure but what ever Hawkins does he will raise an arm in apology and Selwood will be determined to be simply ultra competitive so all good.

............the onus is on anyone in the area to duck.

Just like Selwood does whenever he is near the ball. He has played with Hawkins for years, he knows what happens when Hawkins raises his arm.

Toby got 6 weeks.
They doubled the penalty.
Already served 1 match being the final v The Zimmers.
So will miss first 5 games.
What's the bet we get them in Rd 6?

He and Bacher make an unlikely pair.
Both tagged unfairly by the "manifestly inadequate" moniker.

One of them certainly unfairly, the second, probably so.

The AFL are corrupt and full of self-serving arseholes.

3 or 4 weeks would have been right for what Toby did. Two weeks for Bachar was about right without the "intentional" aspect.

But the AFL had to bend to the howl of outrage from the journalista!

Do better. Be better! Or *smile* off and let Benny take over.

I actually thought what green did was very minor. Think the umpires should get out of these players way when they're clearly frustrated. not much in it for mine. I know people will disagree, but I would of given 1 week. These umpires are way to protected. in reality he brushed past him.

3 weeks was fine.

Dill Mac couldn't handle it and became the high school principal

Really? You think two weeks is an appropriate penalty for knocking someone unconscious while not contesting the ball?

I think four was light.
Yep TBR. Should have received a free kick for tackle without the ball. Wasn't looking at the player and had no intention of hitting him high as he was trying to break the illegal hold. Bachar was done by the press and by the "outrage" from the journalista press junta that thinks it is more important that the game, and that AFL house. I think he was the victim of outrage. The original verdict should had remained. (Read his book to see the mind of the man, and how he felt about the decision of AFL house and the follow-up.).

Similar thinking for Toby. Never, EVER touch an umpire, but 6 weeks for a inconsequential bum, nothing like what has been seen in the past????? 6 weeks is "Manifestly" over-the-top.

Yep. Bash and Toby's character traits are a universe apart.

The AFL is all over the shop once again.

Years ago it was consistent that the worst thing you could do as a player was lay hands on an umpire, reinforced by Carman's 16 weeks for headbutting the boundary ump and Greg Williams' 9 for a push to the chest.

Then a few years ago Heath Shaw grabs an ump by the arm - speculation swirled about what sort of penalty would be dished out, and he got a week (I think? Or maybe only a reprimand?).

Now once again it seems to heading back towards cardinal sin.

Make up your *smile* mind, AFL.

Diesel's was just a little tap back with the umpire literally 'in his face'.
